I Spit on Your Grave 2 Trailers

Broke, and in desperate need to update her portfolio, New York City model Katie calls a number from a tear-off flyer offering free photos. But this innocent attempt quickly turns into an unthinkable kidnapping nightmare where she's ripped away from everyone and everything she knows.

All right, so I watched it, but only to see how it compared to the original.I didn't really want to see the harrowing first half, but knew I had to get through it to see the "vengeance is mine" driven 2nd part. To keep things short: yes, indeed, the character is brutalized, the actress gives it her all (think Ned Beatty in "Deliverance") and the camera spares us nothing. Now, onto the "good part", Katie's revenge. It's kind of a let down, to tell the truth. Not that the scenes aren't expertly filmed, acted and written. But in spite of the gruesome ferocity of the revenge killings, none of the have quite the squeal factor of the bathtub scene from the original (which really should have been the FINAL revenge in the original, instead of the second). And the character's vengeance themes are perhaps too literal to be even the least bit clever (for instance, after bad guy #3 tells Katie early on, "we all have our vices", he wakes up with his scrotum in a vice. Not funny, guys...not the least bit subtle.) On the other hand, the underground passage Katie makes on her initial journey to freedom takes on almost mythical qualities. And she sometimes looks like a demon-ness from Hell itself as she does various horrible things to her tormentors.I don't think there was ever any question that the cinematography on this film was going to be impressive. But the writing just misses the mark.

Katie (Jemma Dallender) is a Midwestern farm girl who is in New York and desires to be a model. She does some free photography with some Russians and winds up abducted in Russia as a sex slave. If the title of the film has "spit" in it, we can rest assure it is a graphic rape/revenge film. If you have seen any of these "spit" films, you know the plot. The film gives us some quick character buildup as Katie constructs a mouse trap from household items and then moves to the violent scenes. She can easily go into and out off a berserker mode.I loved Jemma Dallender from "Community" and it appears she will be stuck in the horror genre for awhile, which is great for us horror film lovers. She has conquered the American accent with ease, but did we really need the "You Betcha" line?I liked this film more than the other films by this name, but be warned it is graphic in its rape and abuse.DVD includes some lame deleted scenes.Perv Guide: F-bomb, rape, nudity (Jemma Dallender + male frontal), urination, torture, sexual torture. 4 stars on the rape/revenge genre film scale.

Me personally I liked the movie. I do not think it was as good as the first movie, but it was miles better than the third movie. I was going to try and give an honest review without spoilers, but I just don't think I can. Most of the abuse in the movie was very believable, good acting all the way around. The problem I had was how she escaped death. It's just not believable at all. Unlike the first movie. Every part of that movie had me glued to the TV trying to figure out what was going to happen next. This one though, while it kept you entertained. I just feel the torture scenes were just bleh. It seemed to me that they wanted to try and out do the first movie in the torture department, but it fell short. It fell way short. It was just too..... I don't really know how to put it into words. It was torture to torture. Unlike the first movie where it was still torture, but the bad guys were technically torturing themselves. Or I guess a better way to explain is that they were torture traps. This movie though it was just her torturing them to death. I'm sorry, while I really enjoyed the movie. I just think if fell a little short. But it's a sequel. You kind of expect it.

The brutality to a lady in this movie is very gruesome, but, has some reality to some real life atrocities that you find on documentaries. The whole story had me very engaged and almost in total shock and tears until we got to the revenge part. I was really expecting something very brilliant on her part, something along the lines of Heath Ledger's joker, considering that she was very intelligent. It was more of a "return evil for evil; eye for an eye, hand for a hand" type of justice: anything they did to her, she did twice as bad to them.I just don't understand how those guys can be so stupid!!! If you find some girl that you just buried six feet under come back with the angriest demonic look, what do most people do??? All five of her victims just retardedly followed a girl they murdered down into a sewer just to run into the most obvious revenge trap; very unrealistic! For the chick: how do you walk into your house, find a break in, hear somebody downstairs and just go do down there??? No scream, no police even though you're in cahoots with them...Small mistakes in the murders. The guy with the infection had boyels of the black plague but no fever??? How did she pick up guys twice her size and chain them standing up, a fat guy on top of a bed, drag a lady to the other side of the sewer.I'm going on a rant, but, this movie could've been so much better.
