Glee The 3D Concert Movie (2011): Dir: Kevin Tancharoen / Cast: Dianna Agron, Lea Michele, Darren Criss, Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith: Glee has become a phenomenon on the TV circuit where its characters all associate with music while presenting a message where everyone has a place. In this film adaptation we are given a 3D concert by those associated with the show and they perform various popular songs that we know from superior talent. If you're a Glee fan then you will likely embrace its attempt at the box office. If you're not a Glee fan then you will find yourself glancing at your watch constantly. The music numbers are performed with great passion and energy but none of the stage performers are remotely interesting. We are given glimpses of fans expressing what the show represents to them. There are two segments that save the film. One involves a homosexual who tells of a crush he had in school and how his journal was misplaced and eventually exploited. Now he is able to accept his sexuality thanks to a character from the show. Another entry involves a cheer leading female dwarf who tells of her date to the prom and her becoming prom Queen. These stories are largely predictable but they hold together better than anything performed on stage. Gwenyth Paltrow appears for an on stage cameo where she performs. The point of the film is to celebrate the popularity of the TV show and its impact upon its fans. It attempts to touch our emotions through music and confessions with celebrated music yet contains no substance. Those unfamiliar with the show may not be gleeful towards attending. Score: 6 / 10

I thought I was going to watch a glee concert in 3D but instead I saw parts of a concert with three back stories. I understand Glee has made a huge difference in the lives of many but this movie was really about the fans. Some of the fans were in the movie more than the characters were. Some of the best songs were not included. On the plus side, the Warbler's set was awesome and so was Rachel. Watching it in 3D made it feel like you were at the concert. The music was out of sync with the lip syncing and at times the music was too loud to hear the voices. Not worth the extra money to see. I wish I would have read reviews before I went because I would not have gone to see it.

The first thing that pwned me is there is no 2D. And the consequence is there is no further promotion and the cinemas won't even open more time slots for it. That's the first con before I even start to watch the movie. And the 3D is unnecessary, throughout the film I won't sense little 3D during concert scenes and the slushing credits. The fans' stories are not shooted in 3D, I took off the 3D glass and I sensed no difference, that "3D" costed me more money but little eye candy.Next, you will be frustrated that many songs are not in the concert but on the other hand, they added tons of unnecessary songs, which does not really attract the attention of Gleeks and even put me into boredom. Luckily you still have "DUN STOP BELIEVING" (in credits), "Born This Way", "Slave 4 U" but no "Baby 1+ time" etc.Luckily they added some little snippets of social outcasts being interviewed. One is homo, dwarf and a little Asian Blaine (wearing Dalton uniform too!). They claimed they came out of shades because of watching Glee, which in turns change my way of watching Glee Series, too! Disregarding all the gross kissing scenes Glee is actually a carrier of positive values.Well, for Gleeks, yes go and watch. But for outsiders who never watch Glee's all episodes. Don't go, the pit did not say you are the boss at this, you will be confused and left the cinema in misery.

I am in love with Glee, but of course the tour doesn't come near me. This movie makes you feel like you're actually at the concert. The songs are great! They are mostly from season 2, but there are some from season 1. The message is really good and comes across nicely. The one thing I wished for was more commentary from the characters, and I would have liked to see some more skits. My mom was in the theater with me and she has never watched Glee before. She really enjoyed it and wants to put the Glee songs I already have on her iPod. (lol.) Some parts aren't really for younger kids even with it being just PG. Like I said, I didn't go to the concert and I really suggest that fans of Glee who also did not get to see it go to see this movie!
