I'm a big fan a was real disappointed in this one. It eemed like a different movie -- same cast but the story was kind of lame. The writing not as sharp -- scenes went on too long. They just seem to talk about nothing. Also, big problem with the ending -- I won't give it away, but this movies always had really cool situations for Jennifer to escape from. She had to use her smarts. Not this time.

I've got to say this is by far the best mystery series/movies hallmark has ever made(all of it), and I've seen most of the movies. I love the fact that they're trying to convey that most of the antiques has their own history that's waiting to be discovered. The plots of the movies are amazing, the lead actress is appreciated by the whole town(especially the police) for her talent. I wish they'll make more, like a full time series to be aired every week f0r the rest of the year. Hopefully they'll not wait until next year to make another one.

Don't get me wrong, I like the garage sale mysteries in general. I like the actors a lot and the thrifting the ladies do together although I preferred the previous actor who played the son.But oddly enough this was the least entertaining one I have seen. It seemed like a different set of writers were hired entirely. For example, they suddenly added several abrupt relationship changes which was confusing and interrupted the flow of the episode for me. Normally there's little to no affection between the lead actress and her husband but suddenly that changed. The owner's female business partner starts showing up at the couple's home.....strange. The ending was not too believable...wont reveal that here. Lastly, a complaint which intensifies every time I watch a new episode. The irritating daughter who is bossy and disrespectful to her father! Please stop making Dad look like an inept bumbling idiot. He's a good strong actor- can you make him the head of the house please??

It's one of those old reel to reel tapes that captures the attention of Lori Loughlin when the wife of a college professor is looking to get rid of it in a garage sale. If there's a market for it Loughlin will find it. I remember back in the day those things were mighty expensive. What she gets however as well is a reel where a murder is caught on tape. I'm guessing either the murderer didn't know what that was or since he was mostly silent during the deed he didn't care. Anyway with her curiosity aroused Loughlin searches for a body and finds that of Malcolm Stewart university psychology professor and who has group therapy sessions. The possibilities are pretty full here. A jealous wife, one of the women in the group, a jealous boyfriend of one of the women in the group. It all works out in the end.In the meantime the comic relief is supplied by Louglin's husband Steve Bacic and son Connor Stanhope trying to put together a 'man cave' in their basement. In the end that gets a woman's touch. This film is the latest in the Garage Sale Mystery series. But their are plans for more. I kind of like the series myself, hope there are many more.
