This move is so terribly made in pretty much every way of film making from the story to eh really bad superimposing of effects to the foam balls that are supposed to be hailstones. its really bad in every sense. The well known actors in this movie MUST have had something to owe to someone to be in this movie. you can obviously tell they were half-assing their way through it. I would say don't watch it but honestly if your bored and want something to watch for a good laugh Watch Frozen Impact; I was laughing through pretty much all off this movie. this was made for the PAX Network which proves they have no idea how things work because they green lit this. I'ts so bad its good. you wanna laugh, watch this piece of crap.

This was simply awful. The production values were fresh out of 'Plan 9 from Outer Space'. The casting of an aging Linda Purl with young children was ill-advised. The dialog was contrived and the story itself had too many lapses in logic. What were these writers trying to convey? There is the environmental angle. There is the heartless hospital administrator. There is the greedy capitalist willing to risk lives for money. There is the ringing endorsement for organ donation. There is the dedicated doctor trading patient billing for patient care, ala HMOs. There is the clueless and narcissistic TV journalist. Oh, I forgot, the rock climbing young GIRL (we must erase the stereotype of the weak female). Please avoid this movie, it's awful.

There are a few positive elements to mention here... Nicole Paggi is completely hot. Nicole Paggi and Myles Jeffrey play brother and sister, and in real life they look alike enough to make playing brother and sister seem fairly realistic. Last, the older actors do a very good job with what they have to work with.Unfortunately, there are many negative aspects to mention. Very poor production values -- the special effects and the hospital ER/operating room sets were very weak. The editing was poor. At times there is a lack of continuity between cuts.Myles Jeffrey can't act yet, and his eye movements during times when other actors are feeding him lines are distracting. There is a Georgia accent, a Long Island accent, a Left Coast accent... but no Vermont accents. The story and plot come with more holes than Swiss cheese. Annoyingly, each of the many brief periods of hail falling is paired with a character spontaneously confessing some deep dark secret to whoever is near. Hail attack / confession, hail attack / confession, repeat five or six times, etc. Watch this expecting it to be a small town high school play production, and you might not seem all that bad.

"Frozen Impact" is typical of many TV movies that deal with the weather. It is a safe film for the family, which is quite an accomplishment these days, but it lacks in other areas. It has the typical plot of a family juggling work, health, and relationship concerns while a fierce hail storm named "Medusa" rolls through town. The hail storm is way overdone, as baseball sized hailstones fall intermittenly on a town in Vermont. The hail is unrealistic. Though the main focus of the movie is the weather, there doesn't seem to be much knowledge about how the weather works among the producers, directors, and writers of this film. I ended up losing patience with the film. But for those eternal optimists, there is a happy ending. I rate this movie 2 out of 10.
