My problem with this movie was not the lack of action scene, but how shallow the characters were. Even the heist wasn't a big deal. The money was a lot, but how the got their hands on it was so simple, so vague, it was like one of those stories you tell when you're drunk, not impressive at all. Characters seem like not care about anything, especially the main character, he acts like he is unaware of the world. Maybe we shouldn't expect so much from a real story, or maybe this real story wasn't a movie material, the thing is, it will have a hard time holding your interesting in these scenes. Movie wasn't really a waste of time, but i felt like i could have watched something much better in that meantime.

This girly man little idiot "Eddie" is perhaps the most ignorant, annoying actor I have ever seen. Certainly anybody that acted like this fool in reality would of been put down many years before. This is a poorly directed, poorly acted, poorly written movie. It is in fact, frustrating to watch. The only reason I kept watching was hopefully I would see a bullet rip through this "Eddie" moron's face. The acting was over the top (in a bad way). Over dramatic acting to say the least, backed by a poorly written script. Seeing as this movie is based on real events, the production came off as something made by incompetent fools. The ingredients for a good movie were in place, but they didn't know what they were doing, and burnt it to a crisp. Given a better production team this movie could of been much better. Don't waste your time, unless for some reason, this is the only movie you are able to watch.

First of all, this movie is nothing to do with Empire State Building. When I saw the movie poster with that building the background, I thought the movie would be something like 'White House Down' which will be defended against the terrorist takeover/attack. Poster also misleads that the movie is a complete action pack, but it was not. It was a crime-thriller which was based on the real story. The sudden variation in scenes and the character behaviors kind of incompetence to keep balanced everything in the story progress. Inspired by a real event is what kept my interest all the way. Suppose it was fictional that was written for the movie I would have said the writer was confused between character to build and story development. On the other side the performances promised to conclude the movie on a high note and it does. One of it was Dwayne Johnson, actually it was not his movie, but his part was a highlight alongside Liam Hemsworth and Michael Angarano. Could have done a little better in few parts for the best outcome. Anyway, it will entertain you, but cannot remain in your memory for so long.

Review: This movie seemed like an episode of American Dumbest Criminals. It's not as bad as Pain & Gain, but it's not that car off. While your watching the film, you have to remember that it's a true story and that the money has never been found. The real guy who worked in security depot says that he doesn't know where the money is, which I find unbelievable, and his excuse is that the money just disappeared while he was in jail. Yeah Right! Anyway, the film could have been so much better because of the great concept, but the director didn't do a good job. Personally, I can't believe that a depot that holds that amount of money, wasn't that secure, but i very much doubt that it is like that nowadays. If they had a bigger name playing the lead, it might have been much better, but it just seemed like an average heist movie, even though it's a true story.Round-Up: For a movie with the Rock starring in it, I can't believe that it didn't get the big Hollywood treatment like most of his movies. He does stand out from the rest of the actors, but he isn't in the movie that much. All of the other actors needed replacing with a better class of actors because you can see the difference with a movie like Pain & Gain. The script could have done with a rewrite and the name of the movie, along with the poster, doesn't really show what the movie is really about. Anyway, the bonus bits on the DVD shows an interview with the real person who worked at the depot so that gives you a clearer insight into what the hell must have been going through there heads at the time. But the question still remains, were is the money....Budget: $11million Worldwide Gross: N/AI recommend this movie to people who are I to the true stories about the biggest robbery in American history. 3/10
