Centuries after his rebirth as a member of the undead, a vampire discovers the soul of his beloved princess lover, who has been dead a long time, in the form of Charlotte Wells, an innocent virginal college student. With only three days to spare before his death approaches, the vampire attempts to seduce Charlotte & make her a vampire to save his soul. This 1994 New Line production was one of two films that actress Alyssa Milano had appeared in right after her role in the family sitcom Who's the Boss had ended after eight years on the air, in an attempt for her to tackle more adult roles. Around the same time as this one, she also appeared in Poison Ivy II: Lily, which was a poor sequel to the Drew Barrymore cult hit that started the cable television erotica trend. Her director from Lily, Anne Goursaud, also directs this film.Going into the film with the expectation of seeing Alyssa Milano naked & having hot vampire action, I found The Nosferatu Diaries: Embrace of the Vampire to be a very poor film. It is not entirely terrible – there are occasional moments of style & you mostly get what you asked for, with plenty of opportunities for Milano to take her clothes off (but only seeing her breasts & butt, nothing else) & to make out with both men & women (the scene were Milano visits a photography student friend's studio & volunteers for a saucy photo shoot, only to start a girl-on-girl session with the friend is probably the most hardcore the film gets) – but the problem with it is that it is not so much a vampire film than a vampire stalker film. The biggest problem I had with the film is the same one I had with Poison Ivy II: Lily – its conservatism. Both films appear to have been made as a warning for viewers not to engage in sexual relationships outside of approved grounds – in both films, Milano plays a sweet, innocent thing who gets corrupted by an exterior force & becomes a sexpot who almost gets in over her head before sacrificing her trashy life & returning to the arms of her patient & extremely forgiving boyfriend. While the message is not particularly offensive if taken on its own, it is offensive when seen in what should have been a sexy erotic horror film. Anne Goursaud seems to be acting for the Catholic Church in some way by reversing the sexual revolution of the previous decades & advocating sexual abstinence for young people. What I really hate about the film is that on one hand it is preaching a message for women not to be sexually adventurous, yet on the other hand displaying gratuitous nudity & softcore couplings in an attempt to sell the film as erotica. This contradictory message is annoying & offensive for viewers who wanted an erotic thriller, not an anti-sex rant by what seems to be a proxy for the Catholic Church.

There is nothing here for the storyline or plot. Watch it for the beautiful boobs and butts and some sex, with a lot of sensual kissing.Beautifully taken with that respect..Lets see..A lot of great looking girls in action with Alyssa herself exposing almost everything..you can replay those scenes again and again for sensual pleasure.. otherwise this movie is a worthless junkCould have been a lot better..A better plot with more sensual action would have made it a better choice to look out for..

A Vampire on a mission to get Milano. Writers have successfully(shamelessly) covered every sex game in the movie viz. lesbian, group, watching, threesome. Sex in dreams is theme of movie. *****************Spoiler*************************Death of vampire is really surprising as he simply dies. I mean he just dies without struggle, and his amazing acting gives a feeling that he has achieved nirvana. !!! Come on he got her in front of her lover and her lesbian lover... be it in dreams, still thats what his mission was. He(vampire) kills some girl by banging her head on door. And guess what he licks blood on the door ignoring 10 - 15 liters of blood in the body. Makers didn't had no time for dying vampire it was wrapped very fast and end is very disappointing. I was expecting some more milano. May be a group of some 3-4 vampires would have made it more exciting

Martin Kemp is probably best known, acting wise, for his role in gangster flick The Krays, and British soap opera Eastenders, and that is a fact that he should be thankful for; as no one would like to be remembered for a film like this. Embrace of the Vampire is a non-event of massive proportions, as the unoriginal premise is never capitalised upon, and it's all bolstered by a host of inept performances. Martin Kemp is particularly awful as 'The Vampire'. He tries and tries to look sexy and foreboding, but succeeds only in looking silly as his accent is appalling and he's about as sexy as Pat Butcher and Pauline Fowler in a wet T-Shirt competition. The film takes obvious influence from Dracula, and follows Kemp's vampire as we see him become the undead and try desperately to find the woman he loved while he was human. Around the same time, Catholic girl Charlotte begins having dreams of the vampire, and it's not long before he's trying to will her to him in order for the pair to spend their eternal lives together. The film is famous mostly for its female lead and her lovely breasts. Alyssa Milano is Embrace of the Vampire's only positive element, and were it not for her; this film would really be the pits. I'm sure Milano will be most people's reason for watching - me included - and it's definitely a good thing that the film puts a lot of its focus on sex. The sex scenes are soft-core at best, and unfortunately they're not very erotic. It is a shame that Martin Kemp was cast in the lead as had a better actor have taken his place, the film could have been passable...the man really doesn't know how to play an enticing role. There's a few scenes of gore, but the film is never very nasty and while some of them are well shot, they're again poorly acted and not really worth seeing. The plot is very thinly spread, and the film definitely needed a lot more 'bite'. It all boils down to an ending typical of the rest of the film, as rather than coming to a head in an exciting and interesting way; it just peters out. Overall, Embrace of the Vampire is merely a kick in the teeth and definitely doesn't come recommended.
