This movie is neither outstanding, nor groundbreaking in any way, shape or form, yet still, it's a contained, tension filled, entertaining thriller that I pretty much have no complaints about. Acting, directing and camera-work are all tight, and what I really appreciated is that every setup in the movie had a payoff, which shows that they actually put effort in the script. This is probably the best performance I've seen from Tara Reid (she is really good throughout the film!), and Rip Pardue is also impressive as the male lead. This movie wouldn't have worked without these two strong performances, but they pulled it off really well. Even though it was made 14 years ago, and I've seen it two or three times already, it still holds up.

Really writers wow what a stupid scene with Tara trying to get away truck won't turn over and she's sitting there in truck w shotgun. Tara grabs the shotgun loads shotgun and then nothing. Why not shoot Kip when he breaks the truck window? I mean there should have been a shotgun blast even if you miss him would of been better than just just end scene and wow now she's back at cabin chained up. Wow what a thriller that was.Should keep audience interested I wanted to turn show off after that scene. I mean really if you were in her place would you not shoot your abusive psycho husband in that instance? Cause if you wouldn't why grab shotgun and load it? There is also Kip breaks window and you don't even drag Tara out of truck boring.

Did anyone else notice that in the part where she is trying to get the "floating pillow" from the water with the fishing pole that is is not raining, but when he is playing his guitar and stops to go see where she is at, it shows her from the window with the fishing pole in her hand it IS RAINING.. you can see the ripples in the water on the lake, then it shows her back outside trying to retrieve the floating pillow and it IS NOT raining just wondered if anyone else had noticed that. I am with a company that offers the pause and the fast forward or slow speed, so i slowed it down and made sure I saw what I thought I saw. I have seen a few things like that in movies. I guess when they made them, they never thought about people being able to do things like that. The movie was pretty good, I have seen better and I have seen worse.

I watched this last night and it wasn't that bad. But it could have been better. In the beginning I thought they were trying to fool us, that the movie was gonna have a nice little twist in the end where we would see that she was the insane one all along and had imagined things about him. I was quite sure of this cause I thought she acted quite irrational. But as the movie went along I began to realise that this great thought of mine (!) was probably a mistake. And that was a disappointment. The movie would have been a little bit better if it turned out that she was the psychotic one. Despite my disappointment, I was surprised by this movie in a good way. I had never heard of it and expected it to be bad actually. I've seen so many lousy, unheard of movies lately that I've had to turn off...But this one I finished. It was a bit predictable at times, but most movies are anyway. I'll give it a 5 or a 6, at least.
