I found my copy of CURSE... in a Suncoast Video in Indiana. I have shown it to many people who just stare at the screen in disbelief. I think it is one of the best "worst" movies out there. I've never found it again, and will cry the day my tape finally gives out. I just dug it out the other day and am gearing up for another viewing. So cracked in its layers. The Hillbilly nightmares...the running gag with the doctor...the poor puppies...the men with the torches...the gypsy...It's all flooding my memory, and I'm giggling all over again. If you ever have a chance to get your hands on this rare movie, DO IT! You won't regret a single penny of it.

"Curse Of The Queerwolf" isn't bad because it has an almost non-existent budget. It isn't bad because James Cameron isn't involved with it. It isn't bad because the actors are unfamiliar faces. This movie is bad because the script is awful.Any movie that relies on somebody killing a dog (not once, but TWICE!) for lots of laughs is pathetic in my mind. Puppies aside, this "film" is still terrible for a multitude of other reasons. Disgusting gay stereotypes, a scene stolen from "The Exorcist" and main characters who are a bunch of losers certainly don't add up to a quality movie.I'm just as game about watching independent films as the next guy. However, too many indie filmmakers feel that they have to be shocking or disgusting in order to stand out from the pack. "Curse Of The Queerwolf" certainly falls into that trap. 1/10

The best joke here is the one stolen from Crocodile Dundee (where it is used twice), that is, the first man impersonating a woman is played by a female actor. The problem is the homophobic stereotypes. Sure the film is trying to laugh at homophobes, but in reproducing untrue and unlikely details about gays and transgendereds (that are repeated by the gender insecure) it reinforces them. What it comes down to is: how funny is it? The more funny you find it, the less the homophobia matters. One also suspects that the jokes are funnier for people who are insecure with these topics. And when the jokes fall flat, one begins to wonder ...A must for fans of derrière-garde inauthenticity.

This is actually pretty funny in a reeeeeealy low budget way, and not as offensive as you might think. Actually the film is pretty much an equal opportunity offendor and makes fun of those straight white guys we all hate as well as gays. A guy gets bitten on the ass by a gay werewolf, and not only turns into a werewolf but also turns gay, to say more ruins the movie. It's too bad they didn't call it "the Monster in the Closet" though...
