Over the top with melodrama. So sorry for your loss CT, but we all lose our moms. I get the sense CT is exaggerating his 'personal' story especially in regards to mom and dad. He states "50 years she was a slave to my dad", but right there on the gravestone it shows that she died at age 62. The math is suspicious, as is, I suspect, some of his one sided portrayal of his father. If most of what CT says about his abusive, preacher dad is true, then I imagine the fruit didn't fall to far from the tree. Most of the story centers on CT giving intimate, in your face sermons on the benefit of self inflicted pain through intensive weightlifting. 'No excuses' is the mantra in the gym with CT in the background putting on his best Army drill instructor persona.I hope for the sake of his weightlifting clients (or congregation as it may as well be), that he refrains from the verbal abuse as most of us are clearly not as physically gifted as CT.
... View MoreCT CT CT ... this name will ring on and on. I'm from India and when a friend told this doc. is coming out on CT I told, yah that guy who screams at everyone and who swears every sec. Never gonna watch it. But, boy, how wrong I was. This is one heck of a documentary, well taken and show's what kind of man he really is, the experiences he went through, the emotion he has for gym and people, how much he loves his family and kids and grand kids, and most importantly his mom, who made CT who he is today. This is a must watch documentary for anyone who goes in to any sport. The passion this man is having is magnificent. It just makes you get up from your seat and move. I cannot say much with words, but I'm a big time rocky movie and rock johnson fan, but CT is definitely in my list. Thank you CT and the tick tock sound of your heart, may it beat on forever.
