Niñas Mal is not a movie is a bad episode of a cheesy badly conceived soap opera. The acting is not a bit better of that in soap operas, I guess the writer and director has seen too many Mexican soap operas and can't conceive anything remotely different. Give it up, go back to your soap operas so that you have an audience to please. Stop waisting our time and money and giving a bad name to the once respectable Mexican film industry. It is NOT an OK or good movie, it's a mediocre soap opera!

When I first saw this movie, I said to myself, "Hey what the heck it sounds like a good movie, why not rent it?". So yeah, I rented it and went back home to see it. When I inserted it in my DVD player I was shocked.Well FIRST of all, no one told me it was a Mexican movie and was spoken in Spanish, good thing it had subtitles.SECOND, it was nude, nude NUDE! Since I have no background whatsoever in Mexican movies, you could see my shock when I saw it. *GASP! Covering virgin eyes, NOO*THIRD, predictable to say the least, but actually being it predictable was no excuse to me in liking movies, because I don't seem to care if it's predictable, unless it's way over the top. FOURTH, how Heidi and Kike were reunited, so cheesy. FIFTH, how the movie ended. It was a BAD, BAD ending. How Mr. Van der Linde's sudden approval to the mayor's election was because her daughter, knew how to throw the party... BLAH, Blah. I was hoping that he wasn't that easy to accept it, the director might have just rushed it. After all of this bashing of the bad stuff, the good stuff's are here to come. The movie was actually quite hilarious at some point with Maribel being clumsy in the kitchen and all, Heidi's attitude, Valentina being poetic with words. What I really also like about it was the song that Valentina made with her girl friend. That's all, and for the other stuffs that I haven't mentioned they were just so-so.

Against my will I went to the theaters to watch "Niñas Mal". You know, sometimes we guys gotta please our girlfriends. I expected a clichèd chick flick influenced by modern problems of teenagers. To my surprise, I actually ended up liking it.The movie is fast paced filled with fun scenes and the occasional romantic and gratuitous nudity. So there's something for everyone. I mean, this movie should be watched for 3 reasons:1) If you are a guy and want to see Martha Higareda naked several times. Yes, she goes topless in at least 4 scenes including a brief sex scene. 2) If you are a girl and want to have fun with your friends. 3) If you are in the mood for watching a mindless but entertaining movie. You know, the kind of movie that invites you to leave your brain at home. There are many clichès, specially on the characters. The only common denominator of the four lead actresses is their high social status and their so believed "perfect life". But we have the rebel, sexy, sassy girl with an attitude (Higareda), the lesbian cute rocker chick (Sariañana), the intellectual but sexy and strong girl (Sodi), the spoiled, cocky bitch (Adama), and the dumb but noble virgin (Aura). Each character has a colorful personality and their personality is likable. Expect fresh performances specially from Higareda and Sodi. Both girls will be very important in a near future. My only problem with Higareda is that she gets naked with the minimal provocation. I mean, she's hot sexy and everything but her nude scenes are not necessary and do not add anything special to the story. Sariñana delivers a fine performance but her father's intention to promote her music career is way too obvious. She's talented and that's what saves her from criticism. Salvador Sànchez also demonstrates why he's a versatile, serious actor. I like his work. Blanca Guerra steals the show with her performance. The woman is truly an amazing actress. Sànchez Navarro, Victor Gonzàlez, and the rest of the cast do what they have to do correctly. The direction is really good for being a movie oriented specific for a young audience. The score is also pretty good and fits perfect with the movie's tone. To be honest, some situations are far from reality specially in Mexican society. For example, the Institution is extremely clichèd and does not even exists. Then, the friendship between all the girls is pure plastic to my eyes. But I understand it's only a movie that tries to entertain at all costs. Overall, this is a fun movie that will not change your life but surely will make you have a good time. Recommended only if you are in the mood for light entertainment. Otherwise, you will get really annoyed.

Completely filled with clichés. It's not a bad movie; it's just that it could have been way lot better. When i first saw the teaser poster, i thought it was going to bee a raunchy movie about girls doing really nasty stuff since, that's the new fashion in Mexican movie-making: profanity, sex and drugs (it only lacked the drugs element, and that's good, since it's intended for +15 year old girls). Boy was i disappointed; since it doesn't even feel like a romantic comedy; nor a comedy per se: Lame plot, bad jokes, predictable characters, and as always, it doesn't reflect the real Mexican society at it's full...Again, It's not a bad movie, the photography is decent, and after all Camila Sodi looks beautiful, and you get to see Martha Higareda's Bossoms, from time to time, and Blanca Guerra's still as sexy as when she played "La Bronca".I recommend watching this film on rental, to really get your money's worth; go see another movie... Maybe Kilometro 31.
