Akshay Kumar after the bad but hit SINGH IS KINNG returns with a worser CCTCThe movie is such a yawn feast that it puts you to sleep The story is a mix of SEETA AUR GEETA and SHOLAY and there is hardly any entertainment in the filmFlaws There are big holes in the script. Sample these- How and why do the two oppressed Chinese men suddenly land up in Chandni Chowk in Delhi? Also, how do they zero on Ranvir Shorey? No explanations offered. Deepika's track of visiting China is trite. Wasn't the twin-sister, an infant, thrown off the Great Wall of China? How did Gordon Liu suddenly decide to bring her up? Similarly, Deepika's father was also pushed from the Great Wall, but he survives. Akshay too is beaten black and blue and thrown off coincidentally, from the same place -- Great Wall, but is rescued mid-air by Deepika's father. Miracles never cease to occur, must add. Also the comedy isn't appealing this time around and the film moves at a slow pace The stunts too are poor Direction by NIKHIL ADVANI is terrible, makign SEI look a classic Music is okayAkshay Kumar is as usual, nothing great this time Deepika is decent this time, better then her previous works Ranveer Shorey continues wasting himself in such crap films

The trouble with Chandni Chowk To China is that it is a horrible film. Chandni Chowk To China is a big, bloated misadventure of a movie with a string of set pieces instead of a plot. There are too many gags, too many action scenes, too many item songs, and too much of everything, in fact. The film's biggest crime, if you ask me, is that it's an exercise in excess.Inspired liberally from Stephen Chow's Kung Fu Hustle, the comedy in Chandni Chowk To China, although largely slapstick, is enjoyable for the sheer good-natured goofiness Akshay brings to his character. The screenplay also spends too much time on secondary characters like Hojo and Chopstick, whose pointless sub-plots only add to the film's daunting length. While there's no question most of the kung-fu scenes are neatly choreographed, there's a good chance you'll wish they weren't so repetitive and unending. In a nutshell, Chandni Chowk To China is a tiring watch because it's an old formula only re-packaged in an East-meets-East avatar. The star of the film and really the only reason it doesn't entirely fail, is Akshay Kumar who is in such good form you wish they wrote better material for him. His timing is pitch-perfect and he's not afraid of looking foolish, as a result he pulls off some pretty good stuff. Deepika Padukone, despite the double role, is only ornamental in the film, but she makes a pretty sidepiece.Throw in those breathtaking scenes filmed at the Great Wall of China, and you have something to remember after all. But what sticks with you when you leave the cinema after a screening of Chandni Chowk To China is the feeling of fatigue that comes from being trapped in an elevator for hours.Nikhil Advani the director must quit directing because he is a very very bad director.

This is probably the first attempt at combining a kung-fu movie with a musical. Although it's a bizarre combination, it could actually work if done right, but this movie however fails in many ways. The plot was silly and incoherent, the melodrama and comedy was over-the-top, and the movie was too long to top it off. However, I did find some of the comedy scenes quite hilarious and the action scenes were also quite good in an over-the-top kind of way (like "Kung-Fu Hustle"). I would have given this movie a lower score, but it does at least have a few saving graces in its action and comedy, and it can be quite enjoyable if one is willing to suspend all disbelief. However, I would only recommend this movie if you are a fan of both Bollywood musicals and Kung-Fu movies.5/10

Nikhil Advani's Chandni Chowk To China is okay film... not much near its hype, yet watchable. People had gargantuan expectations from the film... but sadly it's not near it's hype. The first hr is enjoyable, but the second hr isn't. 'CC2C' could've been a entertainer of a lifetime...but sadly it's not.Performances: Mithun Chakraborty is excellent... The Legend continues his magic. Akshay Kumar is a scene-stealer. He's good. Deepika is alright. Gordan Liu is wasted. Ranvir Shorey is passable. Roger Yuan is bland.CC2C is a disappointment.
