I loved the whole story line of this movie. The moms friend at the first of the movie really made me mad though but she got what she deserved at the end of the movie. I feel the parents did take a little too long to discipline their son for underage drinking but in the end they did the right thing by making him go confess to his coach what he had done. I love how throughout the movie the mom finds herself getting closer and closer back to God and her faith. I found myself thinking how much I have strayed away from my faith and really want to change that. This movie can really move you in your faith and really make you think about some of the people in your life.

Catching Faith is a movie that should be enjoyed with your family if you're trying to watch a spiritual football movie. Directed by John K.D. Graham and also written by Graham and Alexandria Doyle. The stars of this movie are the Taylor family who are Alexa played by Lorena York, Beau played by Garret Weston, Ravyn played by Bethany Johnson and John Taylor played by Dariush Moslemi. The Taylors are kind of the "Perfect Family" they have the somewhat wealthy parents with the genius for a daughter and the star football star for a son. The son Beau and his team were having a good season and after a win he went out to a party with his friends. His family went out for ice cream and then Alexa got a call from her mother he she said that her father had gotten a heart attack. They went to go pick up Beau but when they see him at the house he was getting dropped off by the cops. His problems were put to the side because their grandpa died of his heart attack. The family was heartbroken but had to move on. After her father's death Alexa went to this group which was like a type of bible study with a group of 5 women that spoke about their troubles. The big problem that was still in the air was Beau getting in trouble with the cops and drinking. His parents made him turn himself in but the town was upset because he was going to be the one to bring them a championship. Eventually after the backlash of Beau and his teammates and fans being upset about him not playing he was able to move on from the situation and things got better. He was eventually able to come back on the team and help them win again. The main scenes in this movie are the different lessons that are being taught. Things such as God always being there to help you when you are in need of assistance. Knowing that God is there is hard to comprehend but eventually that were able to understand and push through. My personal opinion this movie was an 8/10 it gave a good storyline and gave many references to God which is what I like the most. My only issue with the film was it wasn't many football scenes in the movie but overall was still a good movie. But I was able to get through the movie being able to say that I learned something very important. If you are looking for an action packed movie with a lot of drama and all that stuff this is not the movie for you. But if you looking for a great storyline with some spiritual moments within the movie then this is the movie for you. I would recommend that people would show this movie at church or at a bible study to show to let it interpret the message that God is real and he is there to help.

I am a Christian and love a good faith based movie but this was not one of them. I HATED this movie. The acting is awful and awkward. The way the movie was written is very un- natural, over-dramatic, labored and too deliberate. It is actually rather painful to watch it was done so poorly. The editing is very poorly done as well and there are many inconsistencies. Also the movie is not based in reality. People don't act in real life at all like they do in this movie. The movie suggests that life is perfect and everything has to be done perfectly which is not realistic at all. I could' even finish it and only got about 3/4 through it. If you want a good faith based movie try Gods not dead or do you believe or war room but stay far far away from this one!!! It is easily one of the worst movies I ever saw!

I love indie films! "Catching Faith" might be a faith-based spiritual movie, but don't let the catchy title fool you. It has a relevant message for everyone of any faith or belief system. What is most important to you? We are all the same in this world with daily temptations, doubts, and fears that can change your future forever, depending upon your integrity and what you decide to do. The well-written story gives us so many compelling examples of choices we all face and the consequences of our actions. Without throwing in any spoilers, I empathized and fell in love with this family and their friends as they grew in so many ways.I loved the setting of this movie because it was shot in northwestern Wisconsin, showcasing the small-town beauty of not only the communities that make up the "Chippewa Valley" area, but also the lovely people. It is amazing to learn of so many talented locals being used in this professional production, and then seeing every single person listed in the credits! "Catching Faith" is a feel-good family movie shot in what I consider a gorgeous all-American setting. I hope this indie movie gets a wide release, as it has a wide appeal!
