This movie is way ahead of its times. This generation is flawed but it is not accepting its flaws. This film depicts reality of mindsets in today's tinder generation. You swipe right and whoop it is a date. The major problem is acceptance. we are all wearing masks of being self righteous and pure. And the alter ego ends up committing heinous crimes. Befikre will have a cult following in the future. The film has excellent music and is very entertaining

First of all, I don't understand all the one-star ratings here. I mean, it's a bad movie, no doubt, but not that bad that so many people decided to give it 1 out of 10.Now coming to the movie, it wasn't as "crazy" as it seemed in the trailer. It did have a lot of kissing scenes, but for the most part, it was a normal clichéd Bollywood mediocrity. Hero and heroine meet, have sex and break-up while still remaining friends. They still have feelings for each other but are about to get married to other persons. The plot was predictable and Vani Kapoor was a misfit. But what annoyed me is that throughout the movie they were trying too hard to make us believe in them. I couldn't. The chemistry between the lead pair just didn't feel real nor did any other emotional aspect. At least the movie wasn't trying to take itself too seriously. The cinematography was decent and songs were good too. But I agree with a previous review that it is strictly a one time watch.Ranveer Singh is the only reason you should watch this movie. Only if he were present throughout the entirety of the movie...Apart from him, Shyra(Vani Kapoor)'s parents were the only other interesting characters, but they too were quite clichéd. Almost every Indian parent living in a foreign country is shown like that in Bollywood.P.S. The guy Vani was to be married to, I don't know his name but he sucked.

I just watched this film last night. Aditya Chopra is one of the best Indian directors. I checked the user reviews here first and I was kind of put off to be honest but I watched "Ae Dil ha Mushkil" mainly because of Fawad Khan and also because it was directed by Karan Johar which was a great entertaining well made film I thoroughly enjoyed it but again people haven't been fair with the reviews then I watched "Dear Zindagi" and "Tamasha". "Dear Zindagi" has 8.1/10 of user reviews and "Tamasha" has 7/10. Both films badly directed, boring story and bad jokes. Overall boring films. I wouldn't go to cinema to watch those films.People wrote things like "A lot of kissing", "Nudity", "Cliche". There is not a lot of kissing and if a swimsuit or seeing someone in under garments is a nudity then yes a lot of nudity. Falling in love is a cliché, why do you do then? People kiss and make love. Get over it if you don't do this. This film is set in Paris, about Indian guy and an Indian Parisian girl so it is Europe, not India. People live together in Europe before they get "married" to get to know each other more as marriage is a big decision. This film is obviously a high budget film but it is well directed and I am not a big fan of Indian musical films but I must say it is one of the best dance choreography I have seen in Indian films. Great music, it is musical but good music. It is an entertaining film with good acting, set in beautiful romantic Paris. I started watching like 11 pm and I had to get up for work at 6:45 am next day. I was thinking before if it turns out to be boring I would either not finish it or I will watch half of it and leave it other half for next day but I couldn't stop watching until it finished. One of the strong feature of the film is dance choreography both lead actors have performed well.It is not the best Indian film made but this film is definitely worth watching and entertaining. Watch it with an open mind, don't relate it to your life as like I said it is set in Europe and it is about Indian born Parisian girl if it relates to your life then bingo. I normally agree with IMDb reviews for most of the films but I am bit unsure about Indian films now. You watch it yourself and make up your own mind.

BEFIKRE is a rom-com directed by Aditya Chopra, starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor. The film revolves around the relationship of Dharam (Singh) and Shyra (Kapoor) in the city of Paris. The main problem this film does possess is the fact that it is hemmed by a director who made an Indian classic (DDLJ), hence people are naturally expecting a lot. However, that being said, this film is a good entertainer. Yes, it does have an extremely predictable storyline and many people might be a bit annoyed with the physical affection, but I do appreciate the western outlook to rather Indian storyline. Aditya Chopra has definitely experimented on something and all due credit where it is deserved. The film tries to keep it breezy. Beware, the film doesn't weigh in much on a story, but Ranveer Singh's acting does manage to keep the film afloat. His sheer charisma and energy elevates the dialogues as well. Vaani Kapoor does quite a good job, but it doesn't match up to her co-star. All the other supporting cast do a great job as well. However, the music in this film is superb, in my opinion. Composed by Vishal and Shekhar, the soundtrack manage to elevate the film as well. The background score is great as well.In conclusion, don't go into this one expecting too much. Befikre is slightly ambitious, but it manages to entertain. The second half tends to drag for a bit long, and there is this extremely 'bad comedy ending' to it. But excluding those, Befikre makes for a fun timepass.BEFIKRE- 5/10
