Before you use the nostalgia factor on me, today was the very first time I watched Balto. So right after watching Balto, I was super excited to start watching Balto 2; however, my excitement faded quickly. The movie starts out in a trip dream with very lucid colors. It lasted too long and left me confused. After Balto awoke, Boris was way to "Boris". His language and ways of speech were over-exaggerated compared to the first Balto. Of course, Balto got laid after he saved Jenna's human. She has pups and all of them look like him except for one (Aleu) who looks more wolf than Balto. (Tell me how that works). So Aleu throws a tantrum after she founds out she's 25% wolf, tells her dad (Balto) she hates him, and runs away. Aleu turns out to be the chosen one in some half coyote half wolf looking pack thing to save them all!Oh, and don't forget 6+ minutes of God awful cheesy music.Although I will watch the 3rd one tomorrow, I absolutely loved Balto and am disgusted by Balto 2. I only suggest watching this movie if you can't let Balto go and are currently high. ~Margaret

Boy, what a let down this film was, I mean the first Balto wasn't a flawless film by any means, but it was a solid, enjoyable animated film, that even if you don't like it, you knew they were at least trying. The story of Balto 2 is that Balto and Jenna now have a litter of puppys, but one of them has obviously contracted the wolf gene from Balto. After growing up, the pup, named Aleu, runs away, and now Balto must find her.Probably my biggest problem with film is how bad of a sequel it is. This has barely anything to do with the first film, it adds all kind of spiritual stuff, the first film was about a group of sled dogs who get lost on their way to get medicine to Nome to save half the children, and Balto goes to save them, that's it, it's simple but it works.Another thing is the animation, the 2-D isn't horrible, but it's a step down from the first, and then theirs the CGI. The CGI is so obvious, I'm sorry but this doesn't work as well as the Stampedes in The Lion King and Mulan. Then theirs the music, the movie seems to think that howling is the same as singing. The voice acting, really the only problem I have is Balto, I'm sorry, but the first time I saw this I though it was Matthew Broderick, and I like Matthew Broderick. And the ending, there is no reason that she had to leave, all they had to do was push the Alpha wolf over to them.Overall Balto 2 is a bad sequel, and just a bad movie on it's own, there are a few good things, but overall, just watch the first one.

The adventure of Balto continues with a charming, heart-warming continuation of where the first film left off. I don't think it is as good as the first film, but it is certainly an improvement on previous sequel efforts, is there anyone here who didn't like Cinderella 2 or Secret of NIMH 2? If anything I wish the film was five minutes longer, to me the ending seemed rather abrupt. Balto: Wolf Quest also doesn't have the best story in the world, but the story still is well-paced, and in general well-written, despite some uneven attempts at humour.(Muk and Luk) The script is on the most part touching, and I thought the animation, while not as good as the animation in the first film, was very good, with a lot of symbolism that I thought was most effective on screen. I liked the songs, beautiful melodies, but sometimes overshadowed the story. The film is brought to life by a terrific voice cast, including Little Mermaid's Jodi Benson as Jenna. Boris wasn't as funny here, but Charles Fleischer does a commendable job, he reminded me a bit of John Cleese's Jean Bob in Swan Princess. Lacey Chabert is very spirited as Aleu, a young wolf who yearns to find the truth about herself, and Mark Hamill is suitably nasty as Niju. I thought the actor with the best vocal talents in the movie, was the late David Carradine as Nava, a performance of subtlety and restraint that was admirable. I will confess I was very scared by the three wolverines, with their burning red eyes, their appearance is enough to frighten a very young child. All in all, a charming sequel, not as good as the first film, but I wasn't expecting it to be. I've learnt now that save a couple of exceptions,(Toy Story 2, Home Alone 2 and Garfield 2) none of the sequels I have seen to anything, surpasses the original. 7/10 Bethany Cox.

Well I would like to say that i enjoy the movie. The movie is about Balto and his daughter named Aleu, she later discovers that she half dog, half wolf. She goes on journey to find who she really is. At the time Balto goes and try to find his missing daughter. I enjoy the movie when I was little but since I got older I seem to notice some of the errors they did in the movie. I especially hated the ending, it was as if the writers of the movie didn't want to explain the movie fully. It annoyed me at the end that Aleu crossed the great water ( i 4got the name) anyways i thought the writers should at least shown how Aleu's pack made it thought we already know that she became the alpha of the pack. But at least have another movie to tell what happen to Aleu. But most of all i Lacey Chabert she did a wonderful job and to Marice/ Balto. The songs kinda mess up the storyline except my favorite who you really are or who are you
