'BADRINATH KI DULHANIA' (2017)So just finished watching this film and found it thoroughly satisfying, entertaining and with a very, very special and an important message. Varun Dhawan is easily one of the most talented male actors in the country at the moment and I feel he will only get better with time. Same can be said about lovely Alia Bhatt. She is a delight to watch, sheer cuteness with great performance.Shot beautifully, full of romance and emotions, BKD is easily one of the best Hindi film I have seen in recent times.Loved it. It raises a few issues, one the most important one I feel is the 'concept of happiness' which is often depended on personal aspirations and dreams of people. Can one really be happy for rest of the life if one's dreams are left unfulfilled for any reason? I don't think so. Therefore I totally agree with Alia's character's actions that she takes. One must live for him or herself too. We all the Right, the duty to do what we want, what we must do to be happy in life. I don't know what I am trying to say. I liked the film!My ratings: 8.5/10 ******** MUST WATCH!!! J.M.D. JAI MATA DI :)
... View MoreI didn't expect such a marvellous movie from Dharma Productions. Most of the movies that were produced by Dharma (barring Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham & Agneepath) were utter trash. Both Varun & Alia are now my favourite. This was not the case 3 years back!!!!! Their debut movie SOTY & the previous Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania were all about glamour & some 3rd rate jokes which I feel.....!!!!! Varun Dhawan's acting in BKD was so awesome and the best of his career till date.Varun Dhawan has all the potential to deliver all time blockbuster (as long as he guarantee he will do more family-oriented movies, and with a perfect script). I guarantee this!!!!! I went and watched BKD and came out with a feeling of "unexpressable happiness". While Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania was a complete waste of time, THIS ONE IS AN EPIC !!!!! I don't understand why 6.2 so low rating on IMDb. Should at least have a 7.2 seriously. I give 10 out of 10 for BKD. Because the joy and satisfaction Badri, Somdev and all my friends gave me during those 2-and-a-half hours cannot be replaced with anything. Watching that movie really MADE MY DAY. Hoping the next dulhania series will be more better. BKD is more in emotions and content and the emotional scenes in the entire movie are natural. There was a good overflow of heart-warming dialogues, beautiful scenaries (like the park scene near Taj Mahal, the Humsafar song) and very good music. Music has taken a new level. Varun & Alia's acting is COMPLETELY NATURAL. I rate 10 out of 10 stars, hardly finding any negatives for the movie (except a predictable climax). I liked the concept of valuing self-respect over love. Brilliant direction by Shashank Khaitan. Badri, Somdev & Vaidehi.....you guys rock !!
... View MoreIt was definitely a well balanced film which consists the right amount of romance, comedy, human emotion, drama and reality of the society.Unlike other films it does not sugarcoat the fact of existing dowry system of the society and frankly showed the general emotion about it in the mind contemporary youth. The story was well crafted and had a balanced combination of everything. The first half was full of fun and entertainment, and the second half was allocated for the complex emotional part; which made the film all the more enjoyable. The casting was also superb. It is always a breath of fresh air to watch age appropriate actor and actress perform together, rather than the odd pair of old actor and young actress. So it was great to see Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan together again. They both matured a lot in acing and their on screen chemistry was phenomenal. They both looked fabulous throughout the film. And the tracks of the films are quite good also. I really enjoyed the film. You should also watch the film and it is safe to say that you will also like the film and the characters of the film.RECOMMENDED.
... View MoreThe only Dulhania Movie which I think is watchable is SRK's DDLJ. This is just a masala flick. Just another Shi**y Bollywood movie! Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt prove that bollywood's on screen chemistry can never be enough sometimes to keep you frustrated in an shitty plot with a predictable narrative! Grow up bollywood! Wake up!
