When i first heard about this movie i was incredibly excited, i am a teenager and chick flick movies are my thing, so when i eventually got the DVD i was disappointed in the actors/actresses and the plot, the story's spotlight is focused on teen Georgia groome she is a wooden actress and incredibly annoying, i couldn't understand how a 15 year old girl could say something so immature like "i'm not going to your proxy party" "girl's it's boy stalking time", i know this but me as a teen would never say that it's weird. anyway moving on through out the movie there was no comedy whatsoever and it was mainly boring a stupid. The "sex god" (he was not even that cute) already had a girlfriend and Georgia felt betrayed all she did was speak to him once and acts as if he knew her, and finally Lindsey did not even bully Georgia all she did was tell her to stay away from Robbie, then Georgia acts all grown up suddenly and wins the boy!!!! HOW. DON'T BOTHER WATCHING THIS SAD MOVIE PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF

The film starts off promising - the lead character, Georgia, is attending a fancy dress party in a self-made stuffed olive costume, instead of cool staples normally worn at these occasions - only to find that her best friends have given in to the pressure and turned up as an angel, a devil and a fairy princess. She leaves, distraught and embarrassed, to throw a teenage temper-tantrum in front of her bewildered parents at home.It gets worst here. Georgia and her friends' school life, we see the generic cliché high school characters before we hear the girls discussing sexual matters in break time. So far so good. The film then moves on to presenting the male main character(s), Robbie and Tom, strutting across the school yard with the girls swooning over these "sex-gods". In the ensuing "boy-watching", the four girls practically stalk the group of boys while peering through binoculars. This dilemma becomes evident yet again in the events unfolding after Georgia and Robbie have shared their first kiss with each other. Robbie leaves Georgia behind by saying that he "has something to sort out" (finishing with his girlfriend Lindsey, we are left to assume) and she returns home to wait for his phone call, which never comes. Encouraged by the one-dimensional guidance of that sad genre called 'self-help' books, namely Men are from Mars, Women from Venus, she sets out to win Robbie back by the oldest of all manipulation techniques: making him jealous by going out with his mate who she isn't even interested in. What really disturbs me in this movie is the character of Georgia she is the ugliest girl I've ever seen and 3 cool boys fell in love with her .

This movie was unrealistic and stupid from beginning to end. The main character was incredibly ugly, and there was no way Robbie- let alone 2 other guys- would ever like her. Georgia and her friends were annoying and uncool, and the worst stalkers ever. They loudly followed the boys around in the beginning, complete with some synchronized dancing. The boys never seemed to notice, even though the girls were about as subtle as a gun. This movie isn't like the normal dumb teen movie, where the gorgeous girl is nerdied up with glasses and has a few tumbles to be adorably clumsy, instead there's a butt ugly girl that does things like watch the popular girl undress with binoculars and shave off half her eyebrow. She wasn't a likable character at all, and didn't even get a makeover halfway through. A hint to the casting director- don't hire a best friend that's prettier than the main character. The plot was inconsistent when it came to kissing. Half the time kissing was the biggest deal in the world, and then the other half people kissed five minutes after they met someone. The Dave character was completely in love with Georgia, and then was introduced to the Indian best friend that looks about five years younger than everyone else and immediately made out with her.The surprise party in the end could be seen from a mile away, and the part with Lindsey was entirely unnecessary. It didn't even make sense how she pulled the plugs and the microphones went off- and then she used it five seconds later. And how she allowed Jas to slowly pull her bra stuffers out without moving. All in all, the movie's crap. Don't watch it.

Im not going to lie, giving this a 4 might be over doing it a little, but given the source material and the rewrite that happened this isn't all that bad.Angus, Thongs and etc etc is charming at its high points and very very textbook at its low points, nothing is learned really, but given you are the right person, it should make you feel pretty good inside.A girl has a quirky family in the most challenging part of her life (as the movie would make it seem not being a girl I cannot confirm or deny this)She notices all her flaws and neglects the flaws of those around her, including close friends, she is self absorbed like most teens are, she is just coming out of her shell trying to find a boyfriend while everyone else around her seems to be doing it with ease, being inexperienced in the art of snogging (kissing) to us Americans she dwells on finding out how to perfect the act, falls in (puppy) love with a boy and the movie is pretty textbook from there she does wacky things to get him, gets in fights with everyone from family members to friends along the way, blindly uses people to get what she wants only to realize the errors of her ways etc etc.....like I said Cookie Cutter coming of age story from over the pond, (unless you are English)....what saves it is that its seems pretty genuine when it comes to dialouge and the thought process of the girls, aside form the (purposely) over the top moments, which is always nice.....still 4/10
