This being a drama _(loosely based on a real event)_ makes it a different vehicle than is common for Arnold but he does it well. The pacing is slow but works well for the story.

I have to say not the happiest of storylines out there, but a very well-acted and directed film. Arnold really stretches his legs dramatically here, and does not disappoint. The supporting cast are excellent as well. As others have said, don't expect overly much in the way of story, and most certainly don't watch it if you're looking for something happy and optimistic, but for a drama with some genuine emotion and feeling, Aftermath is definitely worth a watch. Glad to see Arnold getting into these types of films.

A totally unexpected and enjoyable film The acting throughout was excellent. The film draws on a lot of emotions. It maintained a somber and believable tone. It's horrifying to know this was inspired by actual events. A must watch!

This is possibly Arnie's greatest film. His anguish and sadness are palpable. Unfortunately previous reviewers seem to think he is supposed to be an action hero in it, purely based on his previous roles. This view is manifested in the reviews, by people who have not got the concentration levels or time, to invest in this harrowing story. Think its quite a unique take on the plane disaster theme, and not one that has been approached in previous films of this genre. My only criticism (if it is one) of this film, is that it might have benefited from being a bit longer, to create a bit more impact. Feels as though, its been rushed a bit, but that doesn't detract from a great film all in all.
