One of the worst films we have seen in a long time. Story is full of plot holes and in the end zero emotion. Just don't really care about any of the characters. Forced and contrived mixed with special effects that are not even special. The 1 star reviews are true. Nothing here to see folks. Best to move on.

I've quite honestly never read the original books, but i feel like if i did it would be a completley different experience! Other than a few well acted sad moments this film was very average. Its quite hard to follow, the characters are so vague and the story doesn't actually make much sense! Don't think i will be watching it a second time....

Can I use a wrinkle in time, space, or in the black vacuüm of a black hole so i can go back to a time where i haven't watched 65 minutes of this wretched nightmare. And warn myself. Warn me not to do it, not to watch it. And instead watch Barb Wire with Pamela Anderson because that is a gem compared to this piece of baby talk. I wish i was home in my kitchen so i can sit on a knife with my face because my eyes don't function no more. A Perfect example that special effects can not always save a movie.

This is one of the few books that I can remember from my early childhood, as it is very memorable and very good. Sadly the movie does not live up to the book. Just scene by scene it looks terrible, the cast is terrible, Oprah is a joke. I don't understand that with so many people working on a movie someone can't point out that everything about it is rubbish and change it before it is released. I'm happy they tried to make it, but that's about it.
