I happened across Corneil and Bernie one evening totally by accident. I thought it was cute and wanted to see it again. I am a grown woman but I love a good cartoon! I am now addicted to this show! I just love it!!! Corneil is absolutely the cutest and most likable little dog I've even encountered since Toto! Once you start watching this 'toon' you'll want to see it again and again. Even the opening song is catchy. While Bernie is an annoying moron, he is a great foil for Corneil. The setting is New York City where Corneil is the only "child" to a successful & prominent couple. Corneil can talk but Bernie is the only one who knows (much the same as "Mr. Ed" - another great show). When I first saw SpongeBob, I knew right away it was going to be HUGE - and I was right. I'm thinking Corneil is on his way to similar fame. I hope so. Can't wait for the merchandise to roll off the line. Already have all the SpongeBob 'stuff' I can handle! If you have kids, this is the cartoon. Unlike many others, it is not only entertaining but somewhat educational too. Heck, I've already picked up a Latin expression I didn't know!!! Tune in, you won't be disappointed. It's on NickToons.
... View MoreI can never get that catchy theme song out of my head, and I'm glad I can't. It's great...and so is the show! It's about a hapless dog walker who walks a talking dog for a rich couple, the catch is that HE only knows he can talk, although a scientist nearly did in an episode. Corneil is the dog, while Bernie's the dog walker. Usually, there curiosity gets both of them in trouble, like when Corneil thought a neighbor was Dracula, or how Bernie tries to be friend with cool kid Romeo. As you can guess, however, Bernie gets into the most trouble although Corneil always warns him with the memorable line "Bernie, watch my chops..." The animation is pretty bizarre, but we're not talking Yakkity Yak/Pelswick/Rocko bizarre, but bizarre. You can see the show for yourself if you have the Nicktoons channel: Its on weeknights at 8, 8:30, & 11pm before The Ren & Stimpy Show.Grade: A-
... View MoreHi-tech colourful animation , at first I thought this would just be another usual animation that becomes boring after a while, but I was wrong, you watch the first few episodes and they seem alright, but then they become really good when you get to episodes like "jungle panic" and "close encounter of the alien kind". They are so funny. This animation is definitely worth watching. I have seen every episode in series 1 and 2 and I hope series 3 (if there is one) will be as just as good as the first 2. I would give it a well deserved 10/10. One of the best episodes is "close encounter of the alien kind", in this episode Berney (dogsitter and reject at school) gets made fun of for believing that aliens exist, to get his own back on Romeo (popular kid at school) who makes fun of him, he makes Corniel (talking dog) to pretend hes and alien and because Corniel is so smart he comes up with this hilarious disguise, at the end of the show Moulder and Scully come on at the end. It's so funny!
... View MoreI have seen the first two series on ABC and enjoyed it quite. The repeats on Rocco didn't lack in amusement, but a new series would be nice. The show is about a teenage boy and his job as a dog walker in a big city, and the artworks great, the music nice and the dialogue is on the better side of modern TV. A very enjoyable, entertaining show, but it would be nice to see some more episodes. One of my favourite things about this show is the way the city is portrayed, in a similar way to other shows- it only shows upclose the lives of a few citizens, yet you get the feeling a lot happens there. I reckon in future it'd be nice to expand the plot, there's certainly no end of ideas that would work, and the characters are great. Don't waste them in repeats!
