This was a great show, it's still a great show, and I'M STILL WAITING FOR SEASON 3.Where to start with it? The plot is amazing, it's like if X-men was a lot more realistic and intense, the result may surprise you. I liked all the characters, they all had a lot of depth, personality, and development. The story was so intense you'd literally be at the edge of your seat, and full of things that shock you and fill you with sentiment. There's good people and bad people on both sides, which adds to the good morals it presents, being don't judge other people for who they might seem or act like, don't let bad things happen, but stay true to who you are, and love and friendship can bloom even when one of them isn't who or what they say.The animation was amazing, there was a lot of detail in things, like the color of each scene and the detail in each character all worked to make it more intense and emotional. The English voice acting is really good, all the voice actors clearly liked working on the project, and while they weren't perfect at first, they still did their best.By second season, all the voice actors mastered their roles, and the story took an even more dramatic and emotional turn.Speaking of the characters, the main character starts off as a seemingly cliché shy guy, but then he quickly becomes a like able, relatable guy with a lot of depth. By the second season, he had a lot more character development than he already had, but didn't deviate too far from the established character. He became more active, but still kept his moral compass and didn't become unlike-able.The only real problem I can point out is that the large amount of character development was kind of sudden and forced because of a scene where the main character was brutalized for so many episodes. There were some reasons to avoid it, because I kind of liked him better before his drastic change. But to be honest, it wasn't a bad idea, it was actually kind of a good idea, but the show would probably still be really good without it too. I liked the intensity, light humor, fear, and emotionality of the first season a lot, but the turn it took in the second season was still a good idea nonetheless.Speaking of, I don't know why the second season is getting so much hate, it was even better than the first. It made an already intense story even more emotionally intense and tugged at your heart-strings a lot more. All in all, love that show, and cannot wait for season 3!

This was my first anime which has monsters/gore. So its fair to say that with little to no other show to compare it with at the time, it stood out strong with its story, characters and the themes it carries. But unfortunately by the time i'm writing this review i have started watching Parasite: The Maxim which has very similar theme and implements it 10x better. By no means it is a bad show its in fact a very good, well made with amazing character study towards self discovery in finding the right place for yourself in the derailed world and as to what it is to be human. But these themes are explored much better in the end than throughout. It does touches them but are fully exploited in the end because of which to me it gave the most satisfying end (well not a complete end but definitely to the theme it was carrying throughout). Likable characters but they could have given them much better story. Had a potential to be an amazing show but still is a very good one. One thing which is undeniably perfect is its soundtrack.Verdict: Definitely worth checking out.

Its a brilliant take on Sui ishida's manga Tokyo ghoul, let's start with negatives first.it would have been better if they made it longer than 13 episodes, because I felt that it was a bit rushed, the first episode was brilliantly done and left you wanting more, but the next 4 episodes were a tad bit slow paced.I would really loved the added the gore and violence that the manga has.The Positives the art and animation is brilliantly done, the voice acting is absolutely brilliant,it actually makes you feel the despair and anguish that kaneki goes through in certain parts(not giving spoilers).but by far the best thing about this series is the soundtracks,it is absolutely superb,in the story and in the opening, normally I just skip the opening and go straight to watching the episode but "UNRAVEL"by TK kept me hooked, heck I even re-winded to listen the opening for the soundtrack over and over again. This anime is really well done I enjoyed the story very much and I hope this review helped.
