Let me say by saying:PROS: You should absolutely watch this series. Great animation, awesome fight scenes, well thought out plot, and fleshed out characters (half of them anyway more about that later). You really get a feel of who the characters are and especially sins they represent.CONS: Now the character development is where this show falls short be it due to number of episodes or budget. Each of the seven deadly sins are the good guys and you understand and get a feel for the characters wrath, sloth, envy, greed, and lust (kind of could of been better). However gluttony (who should of been represented as lust due to her scantoulous clothing wear) is only introduced in the last few episodes and you don't get a feel of her personality. This falls short for lust (who should be represented as gluttony not because of food but because of knowledge) sort of but she is also slothy too. Also pride is not introduced in the show; the knight in the gold armor may be represented as pride since he shows he has a prideful personality but he is never addressed nor introduces himself as pride. Also wrath is supposed to be a demon who is 3000 years old but we don't get any back story on that. So there are small but important chunks missing from this show. And even though there is season 2 they feel more like OVA episodes than anything. Season 3 may answer more questions but it should of been wrapped up in one season. That being said it is totally worth it to watch. Highly recommended for confident protagonists, great animation, and well thought out storyline.

This show starts off pretty slow for a couple of episodes as it sort of staggers when all the main characters start showing up. The show is very good. The music is amazing, and always changes every few episodes, while keeping the same feeling. The characters are extremely memorable, they all are different aspects of the 7 deadly sins, and thus creating very differing and interesting dynamics between the characters. The story, while sometimes admittedly cheesy, is extremely good and has lots of meaning to it. I was severely depressed before watching this show, but this show really portrayed the beauty of life, the grimness, and the silliness all in a perfect balance that really keeps things interesting throughout every single episode. I would highly recommend giving this show a watch, it's truly something special.

I love this show! This is a great show, in my opinion, for teens and adults, not children though. The way the story starts off is very good and the action only increases every episode! I think anyone who likes Magi ,and battle anime in general, would really enjoy watching this. I love the plot and the speed that the story moves, although, like most anime, there are some warnings to heed. My first warning is that if you are uncomfortable watching scenes with perverted (for humor) actions, this may not be a good anime because the main character can be a little perverted towards a somewhat ignorant / naive girl he travels with. Secondly, the main character's other traveling companion, a pig, swears a lot, and seems particularly fond of calling the bad guys profane names. Blood is a regular occurrence, but violence is everywhere and that's why I don't suggest this for kids younger than maybe about 13, depending on how mature they are. Hope this helps!

I have to point out right from the start that I've only watched the first 4 episodes and intend to watch the whole season or to the point that annoys me more than it manages entertain.Reading some of the other user reviews I saw that people get put off by the over-sexualisation of the main character, that doesn't bother me as much as the non responsiveness of the girl who's the victim of his groping. I just think having breasts and buttocks being copped merits a response, any response at all would be nice and would certainly add to the comedic effect. Some characters are to bland while the others are over the top but still they manage to be likable. The story is decent as far as I've seen. The story-telling is too fast though. Some reviews mention plot twists, but twisting a plot that hasn't been fully explained or haven't been given time to settle is wasted. Also I felt like the writers don't give us enough time to get immersed in the show's atmosphere before important plot points and new characters get introduced, that takes away from the importance of those moments.Fight scenes are crucial for this type of show, the ones I've seen so far are on the poor side. I truly expect them to get better as show progresses and things I figure should disappear or lessen considerably are: Scenes with series of unintelligible fast attacks. You know...when the two characters disappear and reappear in blurs and still images. That must've been cool when first seen but now just come of as lazy. Also characters shouting the names of the moves. So far the haven't explained anything about the source of the knights' power, maybe it doesn't matter, the names of the moves usually reflect the type of technique being used, the elemental power imbued or amount of power. Without any information regarding the source or kind of powers, tell me why I should care about that name. Conclusion: If you are addicted to TV shows as I am and you enjoy animes you should probably give it a chance. But if you are a hardcore anime fan looking for excellence, look elsewhere. I would compare it to Bleach, Seven Deadly Sins being a little more mature, or to the filler episodes of Naruto, with a less engaging background universe and more "freshness".
