Show was pretty decent for season 1/2, did some things differently then the standard ER show and did them well. Season 3 had some issues but wasn't all that bad. Season 4 is just a mess. It's hitting all the negative tropes of an ER show, the story itself is all over the place and the "big event" for many of the episodes are just ludicrous. Sorry to see the series end on such a sour note.

It holds my interest the entire time. It is an emotional roller-coaster, the good kind. Good actors, realistic situations (for the grand majority of it) Good actors, maybe a bit gory for some but it's got good FX! There is certainly never a dull moment. A good mix of drama and romance.

This is easy to watch (well, except for the gratuitous blood and cutting porn). The actors are all pretty much very pretty (as they remark themselves often enough) and the material is easy to understand (and as predictable as 90% or more of TeeVee is). Netflix currently has two seasons, and I am am at the middle of season two. Would I be more rewarded by watching Stranger Things or Master of None - probably, and I will likely get to Master of None soon. I will say there have been a couple of good cameos, like DB Sweeney, the guy who played Tuvok on Star Trek Voyager and James McMasters (I think the name is, the guy who was Lt Fancy on NYPD Blue). And some of the episodes have been directed by the likes of Eric LaSalle and Timothy Busfield. So there have been some crackling and/or affecting episodes in this fictional effort. Night Shift is like comfort food, easy empty brain calories you can snack on.

Am enjoying watching this series but won't be staying up late for a new episode. The dialogue is not great & the acting not much better. But still I am sticking it out to see to TC & Jordan get together for their happy ever after. Its no Greys Anatomy. Stick with it if you are only starting the series.
