I enjoyed watching the 50 episodes and although the acting is pretty poor it's worth watching. Another thing that annoyed me was reading the subtitles the whole series, it would of been more authentic if it had subtitles at the beginning in China but once he was in America switched it to English. I still enjoyed it, the guy that plays Bruce Lee looks and acts exactly like him and the action scenes are quite good. I highly recommend this series, especially if your a huge Bruce Lee fan like myself. The legend of Bruce Lee lives on through this series. Loved it.
... View MoreThis series is entertaining on different levels. First, there's the martial arts. Not like a Bruce Lee movie intensity but entertaining enough. Then there's the translation to English. Its pretty funny. I can't tell you how many times I've called my brother, brother instead of his name or my sisters, sister, instead of their names. Yet they all call him Bruce Bruce and not brother. The early part of the series is supposed to be set in the time before he left for the US, which was in 1959. He then died in 1973, yet one of the the gang members in the earlier episodes in Hong Kong was wearing a Justin Timberlake t-shirt. Timberlake wasn't even born until 1981.If sets and wardrobes not matching the time isn't an issue for you then you should enjoy this series. If they are, then just suspend your beliefs for each episode and enjoy it for the comic relief.

Sure this is a low budget movie and most scenes (in America) were filmed with modern cars, but you can simply by-pass all of this if you think about the character Bruce Lee himself. Danny Chan did an outstanding job. He deserves more roles in acting.
... View MoreI just finished to watch the Chinese TV show "the legend of Bruce Lee", I must say that I expected something different instead of another bruceploitation product, the show talks about the legend,Bruce is show once more as a superhero beyond human and many of the facts told in the show are pure fictional vaguely based on Bruce real life... after finish the show you don't really know the man or his close people, many parts of the show reminds me a lot to the 1992 movie DRAGON...Otherwise in my opinion Danny Chan is the actor who better has played Bruce Lee, sometimes he can make you believe that is the real Bruce who is on the screen instead of an actor playing him, they are so alike..after watch the show I 'm more sure than ever that by far the movie BRUCE LEE MY BROTHER,A.K.A THE YOUNG BRUCE LEE of 2010 is by far the best biopic about Bruce lee ever made because that film shows something more than a superman or a legend,it shows the man the way he was,I hope they finally finish the trilogy
