I give this show a 09 out of 10. The reason is because it blends real hard hitting, important, recent and at times controversial news stories with Jim's AMAZING witty and sarcastic humor. He also, makes the news understandable and able to be listened too by people that normally cannot stand listening to the regular news because it can be very boring. Jim isn't afraid of the hot button things to talk about either and I LOVE that!! He is new to this hosting thing and I am sure he will settle in AMAZINGLY after a few episodes. You could tell he was nervous on the pilot episode. He clearly cares about the USA ad all of us in it clearly. I couldn't give it a hard 10 yet because the topics he discusses in certain episodes just need more time and aren't able to be properly untangled within the time he is given. I would love to see an entire hour of this show instead of 30 minutes. I don't want to write this too long because people will lose interest and stop reading. So I will close with the fact that this is an AMAZING SHOW AND I LOVE IT VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I docked a point for the theme tune. The theme tune is simply forgettable generic shite. I mean, it's really bad, so much so it's worthy of mention. I'd happily hum them a tune down the phone that would be better than whatever they're currently using - for FREE!Besides the appalling theme tune, it's actually an entertaining show. You have to give it some leeway as it's new & will obviously take a season or 2 to work out the kinks, but fortunately they have a host funny enough to carry the load until that stage is reached.Jefferies is the gold nugget here & if they allow him the time & space to swim in this format he'll bring it home - so to speak. I basically mean that Jefferies is a comedic star & if they allow him the time to adapt to this format they'll have a winner on their hands. Out of all the pseudo current-affairs show hosts, Jefferies is by far the most naturally gifted comedian; just let the prick do his thing & DO NOT try & force him down some (PC) alleyway where his talent will be suffocated. Let the beast free & reap the rewards.*Maybe get rid of the desk & let Jim sit one on one with the camera/audience - give it a less formal feel. Jim is a naturally gifted stand-up, so let the show reflect that in its look/presentation. He doesn't have the academic background that the likes of Oliver & Stewart have which allows them to easily fit into that pseudo newsreader role. Jim needs to be allowed to play to his strengths & sat behind a desk in a suit isn't his bag.*UPDATE*It's 4 episodes in & now really starting to find its feet. Jefferies is starting to flow. I still think it could do with being less formal & I STILL F**KING HATE THE THEME TUNE! Nevertheless, overall the show is coming together nicely.I'd up my vote from 8 stars to 9 if they got rid of that F**king theme tune. Whomever came up with it needs a rusty spoon (that's been used by an AIDS ridden junkie to cook up with, then been doused in gonorrhoea discharge & shat on by a haemorrhoid suffer after a meal of beef vindaloo) shoved in their f**king eyeball.

I personally thought the first episode was really funny. All jokes were on sensitive topics but still hilarious, which shows some really brilliant writing. Jim as a host is doing just fine, laid back as usual, he's not forcing something out of him he knows he can't deliver. like impressions. Jim doesn't do impressions. which is fine, Im sure they can manage without them, John Oliver does terrible impressions as well. anyway, great show, really hope that it will be successful.

I love Jim Jefferies, I think he is flippin hilarious. I love him being blunt and crude. A great comedian.A great comedian doesn't make a great TV Host though. While Jim is funny and his monologues are somewhat funny, he simply looks like a fish out of the water. Uncomfortable in his chair, uncomfortable behind his desk but most importantly uncomfortable with subject matter, deliverance has a degree of insincerity. The pilot for me was a weak and disappointing one. The format is no different from The Daily Show, John Oliver and Colbert. Comedy central really couldn't come up with something new? A wee bit sad. But, after Goreburger (a disastrous show) CC perhaps realized it shouldn't think for itself too much.Jim doesn't look comfortable and feels very unnatural. Where John Steward was great because he could 'act' out emotions and John Oliver excels because he is funny AND intelligent, Jim pisses next to the pot. Jim comes across very flat and forcefully funny. Too scripted. In his first show he chose topics like Trump and Slavery. Two topics that score points easily. Trump is being bashed so much on TV that is gets a bit old by now, I notice I start loosing interest and get tired of every show being dedicated to him.Overall the show is funny but it really needs its own identity, and Jim needs a proper chair.Edit: I must be honest. I have seen all! episodes and Jim is simply funny. Instead of stand-up its sit-down, still the interviews are not very good but who cares..... the jokes are delivered in an excellent manner.
