I was one of the biggest fans of the first season , in fact i loved it so much , i couldn't wait for season 2 to come with answers and a continuation to the story, maybe that's why i was a little disappointed with this season , with great expectations comes great let downs. the reasons for my let down had nothing to do with thinking that the idea of the show was too grim or too unrealistic, because it's not ,my problem was with the plot of season 2. i expected or maybe hoped that the show will pick-up the story from where it ended and develop it from there , starting new chapters about the story of June , i wanted the show to talk about the escape, the new circumstances of the characters, and tackle more issues about other characters , and give us a better look into this new world but what the show did was keep turning in circles, keep us trapped in the same situations and with an extremely repetitive routine and a boring slow progress of events . it was a shame and such a waste of great material and possibilities. this take on the show affected the characters a lot , it slowed their progress and limited their actions to the point where it become a series of repetitive emotions and actions or a rollercoaster of feelings in a single episode for no apparent reason , it was exhausting to keep up with it and try to make sense of it since there's a difference between being a multi dimensional character or just a person with a bipolar disorder. what i also and mostly hated was probably that the show was getting really predictable in a bad way , half way through the second season the outcomes of the plot twists won't surprise you any more, you already know it's going to be a sad ending and disappointing outcome for the protagonist , you loose any excitement to know what's going to happen next , because u already know , at one point we need to say it " enough is enough " ,it got tedious . this show with it's great cinematography, amazing new concept , flawless acting fell to becoming just another sad story.
... View MoreIt is easy to write good things about this. An excellent lead, well written, slow but very calculated in line with the story. But - and i think this is why most reviews are polarised - you have to fundamentally buy into the proposition. Can you picture a world where every man is a mute machine gun holding guard, and women are either sterile or captive. For me however good the flashbacks are, this was one my wife enjoyed and I just couldnt get into.
... View MoreThis show is totally amazing. I'm almost done with Season 2 and Aunt Lydia is still one of the most terrifying characters I have ever seen, including horror movies. This show deserves to win a second Emmy award for best drama this year (first time any streaming show has won a best drama award when this show won in 2017). It's also better than anything I have seen on Netflix by far (looking forward to more good stuff on Hulu now that Disney owns Fox and the majority of Hulu and will be pulling their content from Netflix).
... View MoreThis show can get slow, so when Hulu uploads weekly instead of all at once it is easy to lose interest. Good show for what it is. I recommend waiting to watch it all at once when it's over with.
