I didn't watch the BM show till just recently now that it's in reruns and I LOVE it. Soooooooooo cute. Very well done. Much better than The Cosby Show, more real for sure. I love the boy's devilish laugh and I love the way the little girl (baby girl) says: " Uncle Bernie"??? So sweet and innocent. The oldest child's problems as a teenager are done very well too. So glad I found out about this show. Won't miss an episode. Does anyone know where I can write BM to tell him how much I love his show? I also get a kick out of how protective he is of the kids. That's true love. And they always seem to try to out smart Bernie but not without a fight from Bernie. Bravo Bernie on a great show. Too bad it's gone but at least we have it in reruns.

Honestly, this is like one of the funniest programs FOX has produced, but they treat it like sh*t. Constant time changes and like no promotion. This show is hilarious, and non-offensive. Doesn't anyone else feel me on this? A lot of network whitewashing... Besides UPN, there are no other shows on broadcast with black leads. And UPN will be obsolete once it merges with the WB, and I'm pretty sure a lot of "color" shows are out the door. I've seen more ads for that piece of sh*t "The Loop" and that other new FOX show where the kid move back in with his parents. Seriously, they've got a real quality show with Bernie Mac and they're wasting it.

Bernie Mac and wife Wanda (Kellita Smith) never wanted to become parents. They live in their beautiful Encino home (about 20 minutes NW of L.A.) with celebrity neighbors, plush surroundings, and the continuous money flow from Bernie's stand-up comedy and Wanda's presidency of AT&T. Unwelcome news arrives as he learns that his druggie sister is in rehab, so his nieces Vanessa and Bryana (Camille Winbush, Dee Dee Davis) and nephew Jordan (Jeremy Suarez) are flown in from Chicago to live with their rich aunt and uncle for the time being. Right away, Bernie and Vanessa are at each other's throats (she's a teen and all), Jordan is a pain with his asthma, variety of other sicknesses, and weird behavior and Bryana, well she's five; what five-year old girl isn't annoying? Wanda enjoys the company of her only nieces and nephew, but leaves the majority of all errands (and problems) to Bernie. He tries to fill his avuncular duties as pain-free as possible, but with three kids, it's tough. The show is funny, and every episode will most likely deal with Bernie and one of his family members. I love his humor, his "private time" with the camera, and the story lines in general. (Mac family reunion, in particular). Some episodes have been a little too dramatic for me, but more importantly, they remain funny and fresh.

This is one of the few quality shows on television today. Bernie Mac is very good in his role as the frustrated, but loving parent. Kellita Smith is perfect in her role as Mac's wife, 'Wanda' and not to mention very sexy. Also Camille Winbush, Jeremy Suarez and Dee Dee Davis are just fantastic in their roles as Mac's nieces and nephew. The show is very well-written and well- acted and the cast has tremendous chemistry together. What really work's in the show's favor is that it is completely 'laugh-track' free which allows it to come off as being more natural. The Bernie Mac Show is like a mirror image of the legendary Cosby Show except with more edge. Great Show! 10/10
