Teenage mutant ninja turtles 2012 is a amazing show but its not for little kids. it has some Adult jokes. characters say what the shell and there's a guy who looks drunk in one episode. and its very vilonte and dark. shredder lays a massive beatdown on the turtles and almost kills them. a character named the rat kings corpse is seen. splinter imagines shredder killed all the turtles. shredder kills splinter 2 times by stabbing him. and the second time is permanent. and a guy named mutagen man wants to melt off a turtles face. lord dregg is seen floating lifelessly in space. the turtles fight some mobsters. and one of them plans on killing one of them. by chopping him up with a butcher knife. leo kills shredder by chopping off his head. and then he picks up his helmet. tiger claws arm gets chopped off on screen. and you see it laying on the ground. and the final season is much darker. 2 guys in robes take a guy away. shredder comes back to life as zombie shredder. a demon like creature opens a portal to the underworld. and shredder and the demon creature get sucked into the underworld. there's 5 seconds of characters getting there heads chopped off in one of the newest episodes. and so far its just getting darker and darker. with that being said Teenage mutant ninja turtles 2012 is for preteens and teens. and is a very good show for teens and adults.

At first I had a little trouble getting used to these turtles, and the changes made to Casey and April were tough to accept at first, but starting with The Invasion (easily the best episode from the first 3 seasons so far) I am really liking this series. I guess as an adult, I could wish for a few less jokes and a little more action/seriousness, but if I have to choose between not having a current TMNT series, or having this one, I'm very happy having this. The bad things-Casey Jones irks me for some reason. I really can't stand him always calling April "Red." Casey is not as cool as the writers and producers want him to be. Donny and Mikey aren't given enough respect. Leonardo is too plain. I'm sort of mixed on April. I guess it makes sense that Nickelodeon wants a positive female role for the younger girls to watch. On the one hand, I appreciate the bold new direction she's taken, but it's still hard to get used to. The Kraang got really old really fast, even though they are funny. However, the positives about this series: Visuals, visuals, visuals. I am a huge fan of CGI animation, and the scenery and designs and just the overall visual quality is stunning. It's amazing what technology can do. The turtles in this series are very accurately depicted as teenagers. This version of Splinter is my favorite. He looks, acts, and just feels like a true leader, powerful enough to keep his sons in line with almost no effort. Shredder is also perfectly designed. He's big, mean, ugly, and powerful. His voice is also a great match. The villains (except Fishface) are awesome. Tigerclaw is a personal favorite of mine, and one of the best villains ever created. Dogpound/ Rahzar is a good villain. I love how deeply Karai's character has been developed. Finally, two standout episodes: Wormquake and especially The Invasion are this series' high points so far. Starting with The Invasion, I went from simply enjoying this show to becoming a big fan. That episode is one my favorite turtle episodes ever, regardless of which series. Now with Beebop and Rocksteady entering the picture, this series appears to only be getting better. So, this version is a bit goofy (episodes like Pizza Face), however ultimately I think it can proudly claim to be a part of the history of the TMNT. I hope we get at least a full 4 seasons, if not more. I'm at the point now that I anxiously await a new episode to premiere. My rating of 7 is based on my overall feeling thus far, but I just might have to up that at least one more notch if this season keeps delivering the goods. We'll see what happens, but I'm very optimistic.

When this show was first announced I was a bit skeptical. For one is was being released by nickelodeon. I thought that was awesome, but on the other hand it was part of that lackluster CGI cartoon gimmick so I wasn't overly fond of the art style. When I finally got the chance to see it any doubts I had were gone. Having grown up with both previous cartoons and the three live- action movies I've gotta say this is so far the best thing that bares the novelty of the Ninja Turtles. Although like I said earlier I'm not overly fond of the art style, but I can look around that if the story and characters are good, and luckily they are.All the classic characters are represented very well; The Turtles, Splinter and The Shredder the whole lot. And I have to hand it to the creators because for the first time the character of April O'Neill is actually believable. I'm sorry for any hardcore fans out there but I've never believed April in previous works. I don't think in reality a head strong business woman would hang out with a bunch of teenage mutants in the sewers. So yeah I really like teenager April sue me.It's nice to see that there is finally something I'm that is both fun and satisfying for a life long turtle fan to exist. Because where the new live action movie failed the new cartoon succeeded. And I glad I have such a great show to fall back on.
