It s refreshing, it s new york The story and the casting are great

The main lead in this show has to be the one of the most pathetic individuals I have seen in recent history.Incredibly weak character. Her reasons for being so conflicted are weak, she is supposedly a cop, whose answer to significant fractions of her problems are to physically strike out and hit somebody or something.The male lead? WHat can I say. Just suspend disbelief, and enjoy. At least he doesn't try to be anything more than he is.Plots? Presumably something vaguely resembling at least a one- sentence summary passed by the desk of a writer at some point, but that's pretty much it. These cops have people get shot in front of them, leave the dying person in the street and head off after the bad guy. IN a taxi.I wanted to like it, and on the off-chance that perhaps it was a slow starter, I've managed to at least have it playing in the background for 12 episodes as filler, and so far, it's 12 episodes of time I could've devoted to something else. So allow me the privilege of serving you, by heartily encouraging you to devote your finite and precious TV viewing-time to something else.

Any potential this show may of had has been lost. The main reason is the casting and direction the story has taken. The main character "Cat Sullivan" played by Chyler Leigh would be more believable as Peter Pan rather than a hard nosed cop or incompetent one. I'm not sure the writers even read the original script by Luc Besson or saw the previous movie.The only saving grace is Jacky Ido who is believable. Why oh why didn't they cast Jennifer Esposito as the main character only god knows. This should go straight to DVD and without re-casting should not see a season two.I would love to see this remade replacing the main character and new writers.

Yes the show is cheesy, the plots are paper thin, the acting is far from grate, and the script is full of clichés.And still its fun to watch, its sorta bad like the old A-team, only this is for grown ups you know noting is even a tiny bit realistic, and still you watch what more BS they can think to get away with.Because how can anything be more sleazy then with dialog like this: Dr. Monica Pena: Come Cat the Captain is shot, he wants to talk to you. - Detective Caitlyn: How bad is he hot Monica??? - Captain: Hey cat i want you to your mother something if i die. - Detective Caitlyn: Your not gone die. - Captain: Shut up and listen, If i die i want you to tell your mother, that i had the best sex ever with her. - Detective Caitlyn: Shut up i don't wane hear this! - Captain: And tell hear i am sorry i came prematurely sometimes.Like WTF! o_0 LOL For me a fun B production, who says something real bad, cant be fun. ^_^ Its a series you like or hate, but for me a 7 out of 10, for first time entertainment value, tho spare me any of the re-runs. ;-)
