This is a definite "meh" for me, which is sad because I normally like to see work by both Paula Patton and Devon Sawa. This, however, is horrible. The little girl is an absolute brat and cringeworthy to watch, which destroys any illusion that a parent would miss her. Most of the perils the main characters are in, are because of the little girl's misbehaving and disobedience. It just stretches the audience's care of what is going on to a point of no return. Not happening, this one. Very easy to ignore and mentally check out, here.

Yeah maybe some scenes are overacted, but it's actually a good watch. I saw it on netflix, never hearding of it before, and i'm glad I gave it a chance. I was hooked after the first episode!

Couldn't get past the little kid playing daughter or maybe just her role...the kid was so over the top and obnoxious, I couldn't care less about her. Felt empathy for mom, but not the child.

It would be an excellent mini-series if it weren't for the bad acting of the leading actresses. Paula Patton acts over-concerned, over-punitively or over-loving all the time, this is really an example of overacting. She is not even good enough for a role in a B-movie like she acts here. Then the kid, Serena, if I should call her a kid: she is a smart ass. That might be the role she has to take on, but she is so arrogant, that you don't even feel sorry for her when something would happen to her. Like, wow, luckily the little brat is gone. The side characters and the leading men actors were very good and realistic. They made me watch the series till the end.
