The perfect show from start to finish. Not a bad episode, not a slow season, the most talented cast, music, direction. Clever, heartfelt, adult, never missed a beat from the first episode to the black screen

Such an amazing TV series! Never have I seen such a simple TV series that still manages to engage you so much. I get it that this is not for everyone, and it may be a bit slow when you just start watch it. But the more episodes you see, the more obsessed you become. And the finale, well you won't be disappointed I can assure you. It's actually nothing special with the finale other than how it's executed. I can guarantee you that one or more episodes will make you cry, maybe it's because that this is a very real series and it's something that almost everyone can relate to. Anyway, you should see all the 63 episodes of death, drugs, sex and family as soon as possible!

SIX FEET UNDER (2001-2005)I never thought a written piece of drama could show the dream sequences as they have shown in this show. Be it imagining shouting at someone while they are talking to you or imagining talking to them when they are not talking to you or the weird dreams you have about people, Six Feet Under has it all. That's what I like the most about it: Dreamscapes. The show tries to be very realistic about how mind works and succeeds greatly in doing so. Love, lust, hate, betrayal, fear, insecurity, loneliness and sadness are only a few of the emotions portrayed by the characters. Every time a character goes through something, you know it can be something that happened or can happen to you.Contrary to the title of the show, it is as much about life as it is about death. The deaths at the beginning of each episode and the funerals that follow somehow makes you think about you. Sometimes you just sit and wonder how would you die? Would you have led a life that you wanted? Would you have done all the things you wanted to do? So many questions. The show makes you think about all that and more. It connects to you on different emotional levels.Overall it's a great realistic TV show that tries to show what goes on in people's minds, how weird people can be, how they live and how they try to cope with death. Although not fantasy, it still takes you to a different world with its dreamy sequences. The best thing about the show is how messed up the characters are and how each one relates to you at some point. The resemblance to real life is uncanny. What can I say about the series finale except that it perfectly fits the theme of the show. Anybody who invests their time to watch the whole show won't be disappointed by it. You will be glad to have watched the show. I knew it was good, just did not know how good. Mind=Blown!!

Six Feet Under has some of the best content I have had the pleasure to watch in a television series. If you have yet to watch it, I recommend you do so. With that said I'll keep this warning spoiler free. The show is very good and engrossing through season 1 & 2. However throughout the rest of the seasons the character's literally loop their story lines. I won't go in too much detail but to give you an idea relationships that failed come back to fail again, people that have a brush with death come back to brush again. (Brush again?) The main characters, with the exception of one, evolve then regress so that they can evolve again. I think the best way to watch this show is to be attentive throughout seasons 1,2, and 5. Seasons 3 & 4 do not require your full attention. What helps more is after you have watched the show read up on the creator's comments about the characters. I myself was extremely frustrated with a central character whom I thought was a joke of a person. But I found great comfort that the character was supposed to represent what we don't want to be. And after that I enjoyed the show more the second time around years later. If there wasn't such an intense amount of filler in this series I would have rated it a 9.
