I have read 'Sharp Objects' and so had high hopes for this programme, but I have been left utterly disappointed. I don't remember it being a particularly long book, but remember really enjoying it. I feel like it would have made a much better feature length movie, and then the plot wouldn't feel so dragged out.Visually, it does a great job, but I just can't get past how slow and boring this series is. The balance between engaging an audience and getting them to feel the despair of the protagonist just swings too heavily towards the latter.

Too slow. Too dark. It is ok but there are much better things to watch than this.Shame I was looking forward to it. Good cast.

I imagine this kind of series or you love, or hate and for me it is pure beauty. I don't care about the plot, I totally enjoy the actors, visuality and dialogs. Each episode I watch leave so deep feeling inside of me- like you were watching the art.

I'm writing this review while watching episode 6 as it's so slow I am losing interest in watching it any further. It's a shame because I really want to see where this story goes, there's an atmosphere that has been captured really well in this creepy town, but as has been said in one of the previous reviews, all 6 of these episodes could be put into 1, as there's far too many pointless and dragging scenes I feel like I have wasted way too much time on this show. No idea how it still has a rating over 8, I really wanted this show to be good.
