I made sure to read the book before I watched the show and so far the show has followed the book closely. The cast is amazing and it draws the viewer in. I highly suggest this show and book.

A slow paced show which is basically a 'who dunnit' in a small town in America called Wind gap. Nothing really interesting about any of the characters. The dialogues are dull and each episode leaves you thinking 'did anything of significance happen?'I expected more from HBO.

I'm giving this one more episode for something to happen or I'm on to the next. Something has to happen or a twist. Something must happen to make me watch the rest of the season.

I just only watched the pilot, the atmosphere is unbearable, it's so slow that makes you feel as depressed as the main character, I know it was done deliberately to make the viewer be engaged in the main character's feeling but the character is not interesting enough for me to care about her because she is a one dimensional character with an unpleasant personality. I mean the problem is not the actors or the directing, it's the dull story.
