I watched this yesterday for the first time. It started out smart, but by the end of the episode I got to, I remembered why I also stopped watching Grey's Anatomy.The digitized flash fade-ins (camera clicks?) sounds as if someone is running their fingers down closed blinds on a window. Over and over and over again. In time, this particular style will seriously date the show. Less is more.I can see (and have even hear) where Shonda Rimes attempts to mimic The West Wing. I'm sure that's a compliment from SR to Aaron Sorkin/Tommy Schlamme (the attempt), but it is FAAAARRRR from hitting anywhere near the mark. Joshua Malina is one of its only saving graces, and is, BTW, the only reason I decided to watch, because I listen to TWWW (the West Wing Weekly) podcast. Both Scandal and Gray's Anatomy devolve into soap operas. Nope....worse romance novels. I am so thankful for Netflix for keeping West Wing available, and for PBS and BBC for intelligent, relevant, classy programming. Shonda...come on. One of the best characters on TV was Miranda Bailey. The basics of human interaction in extraordinary settings is what that makes great TV.

Oh my god, what has happened to this show? Simply awful, watching Olivia and her mother's over acting is making me cringe. Yikes, thank god this is the last season.

This is basically teen fiction turned into a TV show. Full of unrealistic 'romance' and love triangles and completely unbelievable spy story lines. The politics/ crime parts are the best parts but sadly they play second fiddle to the main storyline (Fitz and Olivia - and surely I'm not the only one who hates Fitz and am routing for them to go their separate ways). Pretty good acting is let down by the ridiculous story line, with, in my opinion, the best acting done by Bellamy Young (who plays Mellie).

I used to love this show, but Olivia Pope has become so insufferable, and Ms. Washington is flat without any dimension. I really am at a point of no longer watching, or hoping they'd off her. There is no depth tp her character any more, just a vile, hateful woman. Pls do better than this.
