Not long ago, I watched "Roots", It's a movie which talk about the slavery. The movie was realised in 2016 by Will Packer & Marc Toberoff. The first part of Roots takes place in Africa near the Bolongo River and the second part is in Virginia, in the US. Malachi Kirloy play the role of Kunta Kinte and He's the son of Omoro Kinte, the leader of Mandinka warriors. I really like this movie because it's an admirable representation. The acting is fabulous, the soundtrack also. The synopsis is superb. The point negatif is the movie is too short.To finish, i really like this film for the history.

Hi i'm lucas i am 16 years old, on the first year of high school . And today i'm going to do a review on Roots 2016. i'm not a fan of this type of movie but i was surprised ! The actors of this movie or this mini-serie are very amazing, we can feel the distress on her face. The music is fantastic aswell, for me the music represent a big part of the movie and we can hear the same music a lot of time. For bad point i note the little using of special effect on this movie , it's a film of 2016 , they would use more special effect so as to give this film more realist .For finish i find this movie like all films of slaves , for me there is no originality , if you ever see a « slave movie » you don't will see innovation .

Is a amazin shooting. For me what i had the biggest is most violent. This moment were kunta kite escape plantation is short for me. They actors plays really fantastic their rolent.

What a lost opportunity to illustrate African history accurately. Portrayal of Muslim women in "bikinis" is farcical, and the ignoring of indigenous religions in favour of the easier portrayal of Islam is a pity but unsurprising. I was hopeful, considering the controversy surrounding the first TV series, but sadly disappointed. School children the world over have been sold another misrepresentation of history.
