The acting is quite simply, terrible. I never watched the first. But this is just silly. It's only the gorgeous Aidan Turner keeping me watching.

Update 7/22 for S04E07It has become worse and worse in this episode. Unnecessary love-making scene of the couple. Most ridiculous lure of the vicious captain and the wife of Poldark, she in this episode almost looked like a stupid bimbo, totally absurd and disgusting! It seems this series has entered into a dead lane and couldn't find a way out. The segment of the vicar's widow also felt contrite and totally unnecessary to go on. I have to reduce one star this time. Absolutely ridiculous and disgusting!!! Terrible, unbearable and poor development,I have to declare that I have to drop this series completely now. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A quite mediocre drama series. The ongoing is too slow and too drag-on predictable and boring. Season 04, Episode 05 has become so tidbits annoying, the soundtrack that used to be good, now also gradually became annoying. The vicar's murder/accident, then the sudden cancellation of the wedding, then the lame younger brother suddenly became the murder suspect was absolutely laughable and illogic. The sister's meddling the wedding by brought the news to the bridegroom-to-be brother was so disgustingly illogic, a very poorly drafted scenario. There were too many scenes that should have omitted, too many jumping around scenes to be patched up together simply felt tiresome and unnecessary. No wonder this drama series' popularity has become downward. It only proved that not just me who felt this series developed in S04EP05 was in good direction to keep viewers interested enough to be loyal.

Having seen the trailer, I was expecting something very very good BUT what I got was INCREDIBLE, FANTASTIC & BELIEVABLE viewing which transported me along the beautiful roads and countryside of 18th century Britain and along the way I was introduced to the best eye-popping candy I have seen in decades.....the delectable Aidan Turner. It was so good in fact that I immersed myself in the whole of the 1st and 2nd series in one weekend ....so ladies, my suggestion to you is to do what I did, put away your vacuums, dishcloths and pegbags, put your mobiles on silent, make some coffee and sit back and take in all that is magical and exciting right from the first minute of my most favorite series EVER. I hope you enjoy it as much.....

I can't wait to start reading the book. I love this show. It shows every possible emotions that you can think of. The chemistry between the characters are fantastic. I can't wait for the next seasons to come.
