Its a promising premise which doesn't quite come off. Nail is always good value (I love the Geordie accent) . Niki Wardley is gorgeous as ever but the script is not funny enough and the younger members of the cast just are not seasoned enough actors to pull it off. The story if following a one-hit wonder rock musician (Nail) who is working as a carpenter. His son has a band and Nail is "managing" them. The other parents of the members quickly get involved and basically thats it. There is an ex-wife (Nail's) and an attractive Mum (Wardley) whom Nail fancies. As I said before it is a great idea for a sitcom and may improve if it gets the chance. It is watchable and fairly entertaining but it needs sharper writing. However it is about time Jimmy Nail tried to play something other than his Oz character(which was wonderful but may be outstaying his welcome).
