Bravo you made a huge mistake In canceling this incredibly funny, well written, excellently acted show!!!
... View MoreI sort of understand why this show will not appeal to many. It's funny and satirical and although it has all the prerequisites of being, it is not your everyday all American humor. Although the plot is nothing new I think that in a way it is really smart, since it's rich vs. flirty rich, so in its core there is something utterly funny and a source of constant ridicule. The main character is at first sight annoying, but as we can see half way through the first season we can see that she is more complex then we think, so she seems 'more real' than the rest, but I find that quite interesting and appealing. Some of the other characters are beyond limits caricatured, so that adds to the comedy element of the show, without leaving you wondering 'why is this happening?.All in all I really think that everyone who is looking for a pinch of fresh comedy and wants to watch something new, should definitely give this show a go without taking into consideration its (unfair) ratings or the simplicity of the plot.
... View MoreI can't get enough of Odd Mom Out! I could only hope to be half as cool and fun and quirky as Jill Kargman. This show is funny, raw at times, and I look forward to every Monday night at 10PM. The characters are each unique, from Brooke Von Weber the spoiled rich girl to Vanessa the man-seeking ER doctor, this show sucks you in and you can't even wait for the next episode. I am bummed that the season finale is coming up next week. I could watch this show over and over. My Jill Kargman/OMO fix will come from reading her books while BRAVO hopefully films Season 2 of this show. If you haven't watched it, please, take 30 minutes from your busy day and watch this show!
... View MoreWell, that's a nice surprise. I only saw the pilot but this seems like a good comedy. Lots of pluses not any actual minus.First of all, I prefer comedies that lack the awful fake laugh track (just wrote a review for another new comedy that has it). Odd Mom Out hasn't got one so that's something I endorse. It's about the lives of some ultra-wealthy wives and moms, who live in Upper East Side New York. What they have in money they lack in other areas, so the series presents them more like caricatures. You know lacquered socialites, that only know about fashion and nose-jobs and charities. Women who think that are better because of their ...husbands wealth. It sets up nicely so far with the introduction of another female character who is actually an ER doctor, to give some contrast. The humor seems good. Witty and refreshing and satirical. And I'm starting to give credit to the direction too.Jill Kargman plays a version of herself as I'm reading. She is OK to her role, so far.Overall: Seems good. I'll keep watching.
