Nightwing: The Series has a lot of heart, and ultimately leaves the viewer hooked for the next episode in the series. All acting is true to the comic book counterparts, and the costumes are awe-inspiring for any fan. The narrative is great; holding a consistent story following Grayson's life as a masked crime fighter, and the pursuit of the mysterious Deathstroke. With this, the series' cinematography and stunt coordination throughout each episode is flawless, with both practical and digital effects used.Overall, Nightwing: The Series is an excellent online series that leaves the community wanting more from the team at Ismahawk, and eagerly awaiting news on a second series.

Well this will be my first review, ever. And so I thought I would put a good word in for this mini-series. A lot of times I'm reading reviews from people that are just bashing the hell out of a good series, for little or no 'good' reason. If you see a series that is fan made, don't expect a Star Wars type production. Take it for what it is supposed to be. Entertainment. I don't judge on the 'quality' of the sets or costumes, as they are based on a comic book world, so they can make them look any way they want. I saw reference to someone 'liking it better than Supergirl'. Well that in itself is a huge compliment to the cast, crew, writers, directors and everyone involved. Supergirl is a Berlanti Productions film, released by Warner Bros. Television. So they would have had a much higher budget, which relates to better sets, locations, cameras, CGI and actors/actresses. Just to name a few things. I personally liked Supergirl better, but for the right reasons. And I wouldn't dare to compare the two.I think the acting was fine. The fight scenes, with the exception of one, were really good. And for the budget they had, the CGI is really awesome. I would definitely like to see more of this. Kudos to all that worked towards or financed this little gem!And BTW, I have been a comic book reader and movie goer for 51 years. I bought my first comic when I was 9, in 1964.My name's Bob, and I support this review. whew....

Good attempt. Horrible acting and fight scenes are too drawn out. The actors look a bit soft. They all look like they should be going out to the club. I was also not impressed with Robin's original outfit. It looked a bit plastic, bubble gum and made from the arts and crafts store. Could have been made a little more dark. I respect the fact that this series is made with little funding. I think what made it bad for me again was the over bad acting. The dramatic scenes are strange and unbelievable. I do understand this was a fun project for them and was a great idea. Not bad attempt though for a fan made thing. I did like it way more than the new super girl and a lot More than other fan films out there.

This mini-series is absolutely amazing. It's great for Batman fans new and old. It's nice to see a fresh take on the Batman universe. The show revolves around Nightwing, the 1st Robin who had a falling out with Batman. Nightwing is an all time favorite who has had very little exposure until now. The plot is the typical Hero's Journey but it works. The acting is 50/50 but lets face it, no one watches this for Oscar worthy performances. People watch this for the action and it really stands out. The fight choreography seems fluent and realistic. Another thing that stands out is the editing. The show has great editing and effects for a web series. Backers from Kickstarter got their money's worth with this one. The show seems like it would fit within the CW hero universe that includes Green Arrow (or just Arrow) and the Flash. Danny Sheperd does a great job playing Dick Grayson. He has that dark side like The Dark Knight but he also has a bit of humor which differentiates the two quite a bit. Speaking of The Dark Knight, the score is very reminiscent of that film. It is also different in its own way. Overall, it's a solid series that is very entertaining and I can't wait for more to come.
