A slow paced series with a nice build up and with psychopath makes you think what he does questions everything on his reasons on doing things. In this mind twisting tale of mystery the music in the series is fantastic and as u watch the dark secrets behind the tale of darkness lying ahead for the main hero. It's tale of a hero trying to find a man to stop from spreading darkness.

Absolutely terrible!! 74 episodes and essentially !zero! plot development and even less resolution. I will never return to IMDb for anime recommendations! I continued to watch with the hope that at the very end it would save face, but not even. I can wholeheartedly say that the ending of this show was a greater disappointment than their inability to develop a storyline as great as this. How they managed to f**k up a story as potentially intense and dark as the one presented in the description is beyond me. As one fan of anime to another, !!do not waste your time on this show!! Go watch Gurren Lagan, Full Metal Alchemist, DeathNote, Darker than Black, Hunter X Hunter, Kill la Kill, Star Driver...those are worthy of the 9 stars this piece of sh*t was given.

This Anime is by far one of the best I have ever seen and is my favorite show of all time. The plot twists are incredible because some of them you just would never see coming, character design is phenomenal because of the way characters are portrayed and what they make you feel. do you forgive them? do you hate them? Juxtaposition a major strength of the show is out right amazing because of the way it takes common ideas that you would think relate to being good and mixes them with evil. The themes in the show truly make you think, it asks you what is really a monster? What is a victim? Never before have I been so blown away by a TV show of any kind. Every episode had you thirsting for more, Johan was an incredible character so intriguing, the show in general is challenging as well the way it takes themes such as saving a life, helping and even childhood innocence and just flips them on their head. Naoki Urasawa truly outdid himself in this anime and deserves every single star and positive comment. I cannot recommend this show enough if you are a fan of all the serious anime's like Death Note and that, then this show is for you the plot is by far one of the best I have ever seen. If you are into mystery and a show that challenges your thoughts then this is the show for you.
