My god! You take an awesome thing like Jessica Jones and lose her among a sea of P's!! She is the only interesting character in this. I got to 20mins of iron fist and turned it off. I skipped through a couple of these episodes just to watch the JJ story line. I got so annoyed with the scene in the Chinese restaurant with all the guys telling her what to do. I'm glad she left. Come on guys there are loads of women out there now that want to be entertained that have disposable money. MAKE US SOMETHING WE CAN SPEND IT ON!!!

Great to see DD and Iron Fist together. Luke cage and Jessica jones could've been left out, as their shows are boring dribble and have nothing in common with DD and Iron fists shows. But i'd still rather only see JJ and LC in another defenders then for them to have another full season.

This series fails on so many levels it's hard to know where to begin compiling a list of its numerous shortcomings. Perhaps with a poke at the tired old plot line of the evil organization out to destroy the world but for the heroic efforts of a handful of super-powered individuals? Surely they could have come up with something a tad more original? Or perhaps one might savage the moronic dialogue, so trite and cliché-ridden as to be laughable? And what of the Defenders themselves? Let's see, there's the slow-witted, obviously urban kid who we are meant to believe was brought up from early childhood by mystic monks in a remote Asian temple... Hmmm. And then there's the knock-kneed, adenoidal private eye whose main superpower seems to be her ability to irritate the viewer with every peevish grimace and nasal delivery of her hackneyed lines -- which more often than not consist of some lame schoolgirl put-down or expletive-filled interjection. But the truth is it would take too long to run through all the faults to be found here, and this soggy cheeseburger of a series certainly does not deserve so much time being spent on it. So let me simply sum up by saying: avoid.

I share superhero films and series in several categories:1. High quality, dark, with a story that is for a serious audience. Such series have good acting and less special effects. 2. Superhero films and series for wide audiences, teens and children. They are not so good, they have too many special effects, humor, the acting is shallow. The Defenders definitely belong to the first category. Today we have many superhero series, but a little really good. This series features a combination of four independent characters (plus The Punisher as part of this universe) Together they are extraordinary, it's a matter of personal taste that your character likes more. All independent series, (as well as these) are very good and interesting. Great story, good acting, interesting characters, brilliant bad guys, and especially excellent interpersonal relationships and their characterization. The action is dynamic but not too fast. Special effects are minimal. The biggest plus is that superheroes are portrayed as real people with real problems. And that's just fantastic!! A trap of unrealism is avoided, because if something is too unrealistic then it becomes boring. Jessica is strong but extremely vulnerable, she feels lost. Matt suffered an accident, but he overcame his handicap. Frank lost his wife and children and fights against internal demons. That's why this series and its five independent parts are so good.
