I happened to stumble upon this anime a long time ago with Time Warner Cable's On Demand(and back when it was awesome). Years later, I found this again on Youtube and I love it! It's interesting, funny, and quite cheesy at times. However, it also warmed my heart when it came to their touching moments in the series and quite frankly, no other has been able to do this yet(I'm male and 14 yrs old)! Despite all this, the plot seems to change after a few episodes as each episode seems to take a plot of its own instead of staying to the series story. It can really confuse many but, do let it stop you from watching it. In the end, Maburaho is quite entertaining and can feel rushed at times but, i can guarantee that most anime lovers will fall in love with this show!

When I first heard about the plot line for Maburaho, I rolled my eyes and thought this was going to be a dud. Fortunately I took a chance on it, and turned it out to be much better than I expected. The story is set in an alternate reality, where a persons ability to use magic as well as the number of times one can use magic determines their social status. The main character, Kazuki Shikimori, is an all around nice guy, who unfortunately can only use magic eight times. This being the case, he's considered a loser. However, he and others come to learn that his genes give him the ability to produce powerful offspring. With this being known, every girl in the school wants to get Kazuki's genes. Thus begins our wild and crazy ride.I found the plot to be fun although at times silly, and I found myself enjoying the characters. The animation is nicely done in the typical anime style as well as the coloration. While not all the jokes hit the mark, most of them did which was made this show work. There were also a number of sentimental scenes, especially in the latter part of the series, which help balance the series nicely.Anyone who loves anime, will probably enjoy this series, especially if they like fan service. While this series may not be the paragon of the genre, it is still a fun way to pass the time. Maburaho is definitely worth a look.

I have always been a fan of live action film. Only occasionally will I sit down to appreciate a comedic or adventuresome cartoon. To me, anime became popular if it involved the act of collecting and battling. It was not until one day I noticed some cover art for Maburaho that I was intrigued by this genre. And I am pleased to say that this has altered my opinion of anime altogether. It wasn't the medium that I disliked, but the various plots that I had seen before that caused me to dismiss it.The story revolves around a young adult named Kazuki Shikimori. He feels downtrodden because his magic count is depressingly low compared to his peers at a magic-user's school. Then one day he finds himself being sought after by three gorgeous classmates. Later he discovers that he is a critical heir in a long line of famous magicians, and that his children would most likely become extremely powerful magic users, thus the reason for his three tagalongs. The show has great moments of comedy, tenderness and suspense. I watched the first four episodes and was pleasantly surprised. I can't wait to see how the rest of it turns out. I have high hopes for it though.

I have seen this and it is very good. Very recommended. Really amusing and fun. It makes you wish you were in it. Yeah. Our main character is the seventeen-year-old high school student, Kazuki Shikimori. He attends the elite school for training people in the art of using magic, Aoi Academy, but as for his grades, it would be faster to count his rank starting at the bottom. On top of that, he can only use magic eight times in his whole life! Because he'll turn into dust if he uses up his magic, he spends his days depressed, unable to even use magic. One day, a girl named Yuuna Miyama shows up in front of him. "From now on, we're husband and wife!" While he is still shocked, Kuriko Kazetsubaki and Rin Kamishiro appear before him. They have but one goal. To get the genes from Kazuki that hold the world's most powerful magic...What destiny awaits the failure of a wizard, Kazuki Shikimori, who is suddenly being targeted by three beautiful girls!?
