The first episodes really interested me and I think Sean Bean is a great actor. I liked the theme and premise of the show, although I didn't see season one. I am a super fan of Homeland and Blacklist and thought that this would be another winner. The constant flashbacks and time jumps have worn me out - This show requires your complete attention, and even then you might get lost. During prime time, I tend to multi task with my tablet answering email and doing other work related tasks. It is super easy to lose track of what is going on - it is simply too convoluted. Lacks action, and at times is simply boring. I can't waste anymore time on it
... View MoreStory lines and character development are good. There is plenty of intrigue. I stopped watching after a few episodes the first season. I didn't remember why so I watched the first episode of the second season. It is the foreign languages and the jumping time lines! If I want to read for entertainment I will read a road. I believe the jumping time lines show a lack of confidence in the product. The jumps are also a trick to give the appearance of depth.I just deleted the series from my DVR record list. I will remember this time.
... View MoreFemales in spy shows, Burn Notice it was that annoying girlfriend that put so much drama into the show it almost destroyed it. For whatever reason, at least after the A-Team, Producers feel that they must put a female character into a show and make things into a soap opera. Then they went even further with Homeland, the main character Clair Danes, awful hysterical banter, while everyone around her steals the show.Fortunately it's not so bad here, Sean doesn't let it happen as much. Not a fan of the gal with the crazy haircut, it seems to get more and more out of control. Odd for someone that would probably want to stay out of the spotlight if she was in a covert operation.
... View MoreAfter reading some of the critical reviews I was a bit worried what to expect. But now after I've just watched all 10 episodes in 2 days, I have to honestly say that they were unfair. Yes, there are some Hollywood clichés, and yes, some tiny moments might not be so much believable, but this is exactly the type of series that you can forgive it. The story, the characters, the situations, it all holds together, and the camera, cuts, scenes, sound, all of it makes it believable the way you would expect from an American production. If I wanted some true and elaborate story, I would watch some of our European films, with soo deeply stripped reality that they only leave you in depression. Legends is just the series you take the same way as you read a good detective story book - getting excited, sometimes amused, sometimes surprised, worried, crossing your fingers for the main character, eager to find out what's going to happen next.. I love this series for it.And for me it was also refreshing to see Sean Bean in such a leading role which I really think he deserves after all that on-screen dying in supporting roles. I can't wait for season 2! :)
