Really good TV series but season 3 was messy. I feel that the writers of season 1 and 2 were different writers in season 3...here an explanation of the mess in season 3 (Spoiler): ***Who would attack Christina so viciously and why? Explanation they try to sell on Season 3: They said that the attacker was a man (Gerry Brandon) who dropped off his daughter (Vivica Cross) at the hospital and disappear because her diabetes got bad on Season 3, Ep 2.How is possible this man was the attacker of Christina in Season 3 Ep 1?? Nick, the detective, killed this man and at the end of Season 3 Ep 1 he brings the ring of the attacker to Christina in the hospital ( The only thing Christina remembers of the attack was that he was wearing a ring with ruby stone). How could the father drop off his daughter if Nick killed him in the previous episode? His dead body is found on Season 3, Ep 3...in Episode 4, detective James Dupree disclose to Tom and Christina that "According to the autopsy report of Gerry Brandon from the time that Christina was attacked to the time the attacker was killed ..was just 19 hours". From Season 3 Ep 1 when she was attacked to when Vivica Cross was drop off in the hospital few days already pass, just look at Christina's recovery...Impossible for the same person to attack Christina and 3 days later drop off his daughter at the hospital....HUGE mistake from the writers.( Season 3 ) Episode 1: Christina gets attacked / Nick killed the attacker and brings the ring of the attacker to Christina in the hospital ( The only thing Christina remember of the attack was that he was wearing a ring with ruby stone).Episode 2: Gerry Brandon dropped off his daughter (Vivica Cross) at the hospital and disappear because her diabetes got bad. He kidnapped her 4 years ago, he was an abusive man to his wife, Renee Cross. Christina looks like already pass at least 3 days from the attack.Episode 3: Gerry Brandon body is found and reported to be Christina's attacker.Episode 4: Detective James Dupree from Internal Affairs disclosed to Tom and Christina that "According to the autopsy report of Gerry Brandon from the time that Christina was attacked to the time the attacker was killed ..was just 19 hours".Episode 5: Detective James Dupree from Internal Affairs asked Christina "if she ever solicit detective Renata to kill her attacker?" and interrogate Nick about the dead of Gerry Brandon who was part of a gang. Dupree claim Nick found out who was the attacker thanks to the security cameras in the area. Christina save the ring from her attacker under the wood floor of her house.Episode 9: Nick's mother died. A message saying "Eye for an Eye" was written with red can paint in the walls of his room with a ring hanging from an screwdriver similar to the one from Christina's attacker, Gerry Brandon, who was part of a gang. A older man with similar ring take the elevator hospital with Tom and makes sure he recognize the ring...same man show up at Nick's mother funeral.Episode 10: The man with the ring show up at the hospital again and see Christina. Nick gets shot in his car. END.More questions: ***Where is Dr Erin in season 3? ***What happened with Candy and Ray? I know they split but why, where is Ray? ***Miles and Camille (really with a married man?!)..Where is Marcus?

First of all...here's what I like about this show: It's highly entertaining, has interesting characters, and Jada is very likable as playing the role of Super Nurse Extraordinaire (aka Nurse Hawthorne). I like how this show portrays the role of a nurse in a more positive light...As opposed to "Nurse Jackie" portraying a nurse as a junkie and a slut...Which I find to be very offensive to nurses in real life...This show does not do that.Critical review: It's far-fetched in the sense that NO nurse in real life goes out of their way like Nurse Hawthorne does!!! It's just doesn't happen...But with that being said--it's what you would LIKE to see nurses be like! You'd love to have a no-nonsense, caring crusader for the patients in need...I give it an A for entertainment...It's a feel-good show!!

I see by other reviews that this is one of those love-it or hate-it kinda shows & I'm definitely in the LOVE IT camp! Jada Pinkett-Smith is at the top of her form & so is the rest of the cast. I know some reviewers on this site don't seem to like the fact that the show centers around its title character, but PLEASE. I don't find Mrs. Smith's portrayal anything short of a FLAWLESS portrayal of a flawed person. She doesn't always have the answers, either. Sometimes her methods don't work the way she wants them to & she recognizes it. Other characters are given plenty of screen time as well as plot lines and this show is a breath of fresh air for the hospital drama genre! Keep it coming TNT, this is your best original program EVER!!

A special word of "Thanks" to Jada, Michael Vartan, and the rest of this wonderful cast. It's been a pleasure to see a truly uplifting show, which gets "better" week after week, with some surprise endings I couldn't even imagine.Don't worry if others put you down, say you're not worth watching, or any other comments like this, as the exact same thing has been said about other shows that have turned out to be 'rare jewels'. I wait in anticipation every time Tuesday roles around, just so I (and quite a few others) can see what's coming next.Keep your heads up, your prayers towards God and heaven, and let the 'true' fans of your show, show you just how much they enjoy what you're doing. "Nursing at it's very best, fun also included!" Thanks to one and all.
