I ran through the series very fast. I was hooked from the beginning. Each character was played very well. The acting was very well done. I just can't believe the show ended the way it did and left us all hanging. The person that played Paul Briggs did an exceptional job. Very well done sir! Thank you to the cast for the on screen magic. This was an epic TV series.
... View MoreFor myself this has been a lower division series which I would cancel if I was the man with his finger on the delete button. Second rate actors some of whom have been seen before in small time roles elsewhere. The premise of the show is a total rip off of the memorable movie Point Break in so many details. Watch closely and you will see them. Pleasant surfer backdrop but basic library shots of midnight surfers and Malibu beach style clapboards in between scenes. And when outdoors it looks more like Florida to me than the Cali setting it purports to be. Tax relief perhaps? The telling sign for me of the paucity of this show was when I couldn't remember what had happened almost as soon as I finished watching it.
... View MoreThis show is another masterpiece by Jeff Eastin! This is a slightly different show with an edge with absolutely great actors. Aaron Tveit who is killing it as Mike as a rookie cop who is investigating one of his own friends. Keeping secrets comes in a deadly price; and the writing of this show is spectacular. Every episode leaves a cliff-hanger leaving the audience at the edge of their seat. Daniel Sunjata who portrays Paul Briggs, the most experienced cop in the house but has an inflicted past that always comes back to haunt him is amazing! Sunjata's acting as a "zen" cop that knows he is in trouble just puts his acting gift to a whole new level. I want the secondary characters later like JT and DJ to get bigger roles and maybe more darker ones too. Hopefully this show continues to get better with each episode and hopefully has a long run as well (keeping fingers crossed)!
... View MoreThis show is terrible. Don't waste your time. It was so bad.In just a few minutes there was so many clichés, the acting was sub-par, and the story has been done a million times. Also, I felt like the show was more about how hot the male actors were than the actual storyline. One character in particular I don't believe even owned a shirt. Then you have the cliché of partners being in a relationship (how boring), and then the new guy coming in to replace him (yeah that hasn't been done before), and then he has to get shown the ropes from the goof-ball (wait, have I seen this before?), and last but not least the leader of the group is going through some mental anguish that he has to overcome (c'mon now really?). The writing is so obvious it's not even funny. I expect more from a USA show having become a fan of Monk, Psych, Burn Notice, but this show just falls flat. I normally give a new show a few episodes before I determine if I'm going to watch it any longer, but this one only lasted 20 minutes. First show that I've ever given up on that quickly. Please don't waste your time.
