Story looks a little broken from translation. Missing parts or scenes. Very, very repetitive animations. Every episode has same long transformations and spells. Kinda lazy seeing as it looks incredible. Story great at the start 10/10 then drops fast to 5/10 story. First animation I've watched that becomes more and more a struggle to watch. Pun's could be improved on. Magic pretty cool.

Overall, Fairy Tail is a pretty good series even if I find it clichéd in terms of other shonen anime (for those unfamiliar, its a term used for anime based on manga and some of these anime do have a familiar formula.) The story is about Lucy Heartfilia, a girl who is looking to join the legendary wizard guild known as Fairy Tail. She runs into a fire wizard for the guild Natsu Dragneel and his friend Happy, become friends and go on missions to get paid. Along the way, we meet other characters such as Natsu's icy rival Gray, the fierce warrior knight Erza, etc. Its animation is pretty good from a certain perspective, the voice cast is pretty good despite a few hiccups here and there, the writing is good despite some problems in some areas and it takes a while to get its footing just right. So yeah, pretty good series. I recommend it.

This anime is excellent to its very core...the thing is , that it has a humorous tone other than plan old serious. You don't see the characters bleed or they rarely die...Every fool who mocks this masterpiece does not realize what it truly stands for....you see they don't show bad guys having super awesome weapons and the protagonist still beating them...no...they show u togetherness , friendship , collaboration other than one guy being bloody praised every freaking episode ( talking about u naruto) Nor does it show someone having a perfect record with all he fights and being super nice to unknown dudes (DBZ) .. This show has tons of places where the weak members shine ..like when happy and carla destroy the grimore heart,or when wendy risks her life to destroy face, or when elfman wins the 1st grand magic fight... Tell me all u dbz ,naruto, one piece fans out there who claim ft sucks Has there been an enemy who is not destroyed by the saiyens , or naruto . (Rarely). But in fairy tail they all stand together, fight for each other not to become hokage or find some stupid balls and calling out for panties..but to protect the ones the hold dear...And if u don't understand this please stop calling yourselves otaku....Thank you and hail fairy tail

Words are too earthly incompetent and humane to describe this amazing,most epic, the most awesome show ever. It's funny, emotional, exhilarating, visually stunning, thrilling, exciting.......it's everything good about this universe. The characters the heroes, the villains, the allies, the people in the background. Everyone in the show are so amazing. Hiro Mashima, you are a GOD. You are more than a mere God. A Genius. I am eternally grateful to you for making this show, for giving meaning to my life. FAIRY TAIL IS THE MANIFESTATION OF MAGIC ITSELF. So pure. Nothing can ever even come close to this. It's the best show, no, not show, but the thing in the world. PERIOD.
