"Drawn Together", more than being a parody of reality shows, serves as a cheap excuse for the creators of this series to include a lot of tired cultural references (Seriously, by the time when this series was made "Star Wars" parodies stopped being funny and became redundant, if not annoying) and include a lot of offensive jokes and stereotypes, trying to justify the use of that kind of humor with the excuse of it being a "satire". However, I don't buy it.All the so-called "Satire" elements from this series feel so shallow, so forced and uninspired that it is hard to believe that there is a serious attempt to criticize issues like religious intolerance and homophobia. Instead of that, this show seemed as it was desperate to be the "next South Park/Robot Chicken/Family Guy" by including a lot of offensive jokes and "controversial" content that stooped being "edgy" long time ago (Swearing, raunchy humor, racism)In fact, all the "edgy" themes and jokes from this series had been done before (and better) in other series, like "South Park", "Robot Chicken" and "Family Guy": This series only repeats exactly the same kind of stuff that is usually showed in all those cartoons, and for that reason, I always found it to be dumb, predictable and painfully unfunny, as it were the animated version of one those awful movies made by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. And That's why I disliked this so much: It could have been a great parody of the many usual archetypes that could be find in other animated series and movies. Instead of that, we got stupid jokes about one character being fat, about another character being gay, and about another character being stereotypically Asian. For example, the Toot Braunstein is supposed to be a Betty-Boop parody, but all the jokes made about her are concerned with her fatness and alcoholism. It is almost like the writers just didn't know what to do with this character, and just include her to include a major amount of raunchy jokes."Drawn Together" was a terrible show which I'm glad that it was canceled. It was for cartoons like this that adult animation have the bad reputation of being tasteless and immature.

I used to hate this show, some of the earlier episodes felt absolutely revolting, but damn was I wrong! Drawn Together may not be popular like Family Guy, South Park, The Simpsons etc but it's one hell of a show. This is one toon comedy you will never forget, its on a totally different level.OK so first of all, it's gross. This makes Family Guy look like Spongebob. It has an obscene amount of nudity (top, bottom, front, back, you name it), lots and lots of cursing and just about everything else you are never supposed to see on TV. If any of this bothers you, then tough luck because you are missing out on a terrific show. Drawn Together is cartoon reality TV about 8 cartoon characters that are put in a house and filmed all the time. These are some of the most demented things you will ever see, and thats not all, the writers have terrific story telling skills and the voice acting is top notch. At a glance people might complain that this show is all about shocking the viewers with incessant vulgarity but stick around for a while and Im sure you will start to love it. This isn't just random fart jokes and cursing, its about great voice actors with excellent comedic timing, the funniest gags and at break neck speeds, and tons of stuff going on in the background which a lot of viewers miss the first time. The haters will hate, never mind them. Just pop in the DVD (watch it uncensored for maximum laughs), sit back and laugh till you pee yourself. The first taste might be a bit too strong for your liking (just like that first stolen sip of scotch from your father's liquor cabinet) but soon you will appreciate the genius and hard work of the people behind this show. Keep an open mind and enjoy.

I remember when I first watch Drawn Together, I thought it was going to be another boring Comedy Central show and it was not terrible or boring it was so humorous and got an amazing animated style. Ever since South Park has its season eleven, I hope that Drawn Together return to their season three and possibly renewal for a season four. Why Comedy Central has to canceling this show always? That makes me disappointed that this show has to go away, another animated may take Drawn Together place, and I do not wanted to see that happen. I mean Drawn Together got like the highest rating on Comedy Central, except for South Park of course.I love South Park and Drawn Together in my heart!

i really like this show, because it has that Simpson/family guy freshness in idea and concept. it's just as funny as the above mentioned shows(of which I am am a pretty big fan)the show is about a few cartoon characters(eg: captain hero) that are put together in a house, and set free to all possible vices and real life events. it reminds me of south park(that i kinda hate..) in the way that it gives you cartoon characters on a human level, with good and bad. it has that "like the time i.." humor from family guy which gives it a certain edge over already existing cartoon shows. i'm sorry for comparing it to others, but I think that this is unavoidable nowadays, and it will help you have an idea. you should watch it. it's a funny show.
