This program is engrossing, well written and well acted. It walks a fine line between being utterly disgusting and completely relatable, making me hate it and love it all at once. You definitely have to be patient to watch all the incendiary acrimony!

I really liked season one. When season two came out I wondered what could be left to tell of the tale. I gave it a shot. The plot line was implausible at best. The reason for the entire season was just childish. The character of the husband was only notable because he had no continuity. I think the only reason the second season was even made was because the first was so good. Season one I give and 8. That is the only reason I gave the rating I did.

Its awful. Boring. After season one it just plods along with same old, same old. Husband and Wife hate each other, manipulate each other and use son as a weapon. By the second season, which I am sorry I finished, I just wanted all the characters to go away. The acting is passable, for awhile, but the dad is ridiculously bad, the son's expression never changes. I cannot figure out how it won any nominations or how it could possible be rated as high as it is. Acting bad, plot non existent and suspense completely absent. Go ahead, ignore me, then come back when its over and do a review.

Weak storyline. Gemma is beyond irritating. She's fickle and foolish but thinks she's cunning and bright. Bratty son runs away any chance he gets. It's just all so messy and boring.
