Funny as hell. Period. I don't buy the negative reviews at all. Dice is playing this perfectly. No longer the young stud playing stadiums, he plays the older and less successful Diceman with a ton of humor and self-deprecating dignity. Hoping for a third season.

Dice returns, pot belly and shoe-black hair in tow.8 out of 9 reviews already posted here are positive which shows me that they have been planted since only people who are bored - like I am right now - would watch the little (unfunny) trailer and write a review.... and none of the reviews would be supportive unless they were written by plant -- or a drunk.Dice is going through what Arsenio Hall went through a few years ago. Nobody knew what to do with Ars' or how to present him anymore. After his talk show, he stumbled and fizzled (by the way, he's still stumbling and fizzling). Now it's Dice's turn.Watch if you want, but I bet you have something better to do, don't you?.... yeah, that's what I thought.

The first two episodes are very funny, full of brilliant moments and dialogue, but truly the third episode is when you get into the show's stride. It eases you into who he is in relationship to others (which is more than just his stand up character) and sets you into place gradually, instead of immediately telling his story and letting the situation be filled in from there. It still has a traditional situation comedy theme to it, but it grows over the course of the season and starts to really play out in terms of interest and laughs. It has great writing with some of the best social commentary and satire I have seen on TV in years. Dice has a winner with this; even if you are not a fan of his stand up and find him offensive, this show will make you laugh.

Dice is absolute hilarity from start to finish - his unique view of the world around him gets Dice both in and out of ridiculous situations that are mostly of his own making. Dice is a lovable character despite his many faults (brutal honesty being one of them). The show has the feel of one that is at least partially improvised or loosely scripted like Curb Your Enthusiasm yet does not drag. The show is fresh and funny as heck and is the best comedy to come on the air since the Big Bang Theory. Dice is in many ways outlandish, shocking, yet misunderstood (as is the Sheldon character from Big Bang which is what makes him such a compelling character) and the viewer is often left wondering what planet he is from, yet still being able to identify with Dice's wacky sense of right and wrong. Definitely put this show on your watch list.
