Works on every level. If you loved workaholics you should love Detroiters. There is so much subtle hidden funny bits and one liners plan to watch each episode multiple times to get every gem. And just like workaholics plan on repeating one liners to your buddies the next day. Reviewing this during middle of season 2. Love that they are expanding their universe to include much more family, friends or external characters and out side of the office settings. We have seen sam's family before which is great, but glad we are seeing tim's family. The episode with tim's brother was just awesome! Its the little stuff, like when the store owner bans the kid from the store, as he leaves he bows up at tim and tim crumbles into sam's arm scared. Great writing, you will know it when you see it.

Its a great show. Its mindless and really funny, just like a comedy should be. I even got the kids singing some jingles from the show. "Devaraux" lol, this was my favorite ad they did. its not a show where you have to watch from the beginning of the season, each episode seems to have its own story. its worth dvr'ing. Its not racist, like some are saying. Its just funny.

Detroiters is a show that is willing to be absolutely ridiculous while still telling a story that takes place in the real world. The show is shot on location in Detroit and the guest stars are usually people from detroit. That's the best part of the show, detroit itself is a character in the show, one that the two stars make fun of in a loving way. Detroit is as essential to Detroiters as New York is to When Harry Met Sally. The adds made in the show are based on the adds the two stars of the show watched growing up in detroit. In real life Tim is married and Sam is single. In real life both of the lead actors are best friends. This show is wonderfully original and surprisingly autobiographical, there's nothing else like it. If you are ready to watch a show that is orriginal, funny, and heartwarming, watch detroiters.

It's not the kind of show where you're going to laugh really hard at anything, but it's the kind of thing where you're laughing the entire time. I find the characters likable, it doesn't rely on being overly offensive, and it's fairly clever. It's something I find myself enjoying consistently. They don't swing for the fences every time. That means it's not going to dazzle, but they don't ever fail. I hope it gets at least 3 seasons.
