Well the Gays Of Our Lives experiment is over. On March 31, 2015, the powers that be here at Days decided to disgust all their loyal fans by staging a faux wedding between two male perverts. Like this could ever be a story line. You cannot mix a hetro soap opera with homos. The two mix just like oil and water. You must have two separate casts for your story lines. I mean, it is not like Brucie is going to be hitting on all the hot chicks in Salem. Days put 3 homos on the payroll and tried to make a story out of it. How much drama can you have with 3 people? Any way, starting a couple of weeks ago they ran the last of the sodomites out of town, so Salem is back to being an all hetro community again, and all their long time loyal fans can get back to enjoying the soap opera once again. Thanks NBC for listening to all your loyal fans and dropping this perverted story line.

I have been watching days since I was born, REALLY, It is the only show I can say is mine. I love the old cast coming back. But I was remembering some things the other day, and I know a show is a show but come on.... Lexi giving Abe a hard time as to leaving him over a lie, a big one but..., She cheated on him and he took her back. And YES Sami is Sami, but she really needs to after all these years come out on top as good for at least 2 or 3 years before they bust her again. Oh! Bo and Hope, are my favorites from the time I knew what a relationship really was, Please come on, Our real lives are all messed up in some way, leave them alone to be happy for a change and DON'T LET THE BILLIE BE A CARLIE AGAIN.

Long may this soap last, even though renewed currently until September 2013. Bringing back old characters lately; hope this keeps longtime viewers glued to the screen. Gotta hand it to the long timers who have acted on this for many years, including Susan Seaforth-Hayes and her husband Bill Hayes, as characters Julie and Doug. Sad the originals are mostly gone, like MacDonald Carey and Frances Reid. The younger characters keep the story lines in synch with updated technology, like video conferencing and the latest tablets, electronic gadgets, etc. Even the older ones are catching on. Who knew that Alice Horton would email someone the day before her own death? This show has had conventional story lines, as well as boring and sci-fi topics. One way or the other, it has stayed on the air. There have been different producers, directors and writers, as well as technical crew. Lord knows there have been tons of different actors since 1965 when the show began. I have watched several different soaps, but this one has survived.

It may soon be over but I have some good memories of Days during the years. Belle helping her friend Chloe from her shell was one of the quality moments of DOOL. The silly charm of studio exteriors, arteficial dialogue, Marlena's possession and wonderful Salem Stalker were and are a quality camp. I enjoyed Celeste's premonitions and I liked genetically manipulated Gemini twins - I especially loved psychotic Rex! I can't understand the lure and redemption of Ej - Why to make him a hero? Because he is not fat or balding or geeky-looking? Because he is filth? - but there has been lot of good stuff after overrated 1980s.
