Château Gaillard was built by King Richard I to maintain English holdings in France. Dover Castle was built by King Henry II. Conwy Castle was built by King Edward I to fend off rebels within Wales. Malbork Castle is a brick castle built by returning Crusaders to modern-day Poland to convert the local population. Gibralfaro Castle was built in Malaga by Yusuf I of the Kingdom of Granada eventually falling to King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella in 1487. The series ended after six episodes. There are careful examinations of the construction and location of these castles. The battles are reviewed through the weapons, armies, and strategies. There are minor recreations. They all paint an informative picture.
